What a horrible way to go through life, believing that the entire other side is pulling for a dictator and our enemy.
I don't agree with many liberal policy points, but I can acknowledge where they're coming from on many and why they feel the way they do. Most people on either side are inherently good, they're not the worst like propaganda pushers would like us to believe. I think a lot of those same people are easily manipulated by garbage put out by both sides as they try to win votes. They want people divided, competition breeds tension and brings in cash. If we were united on every issue there would be no reason to fund raise or use a scapegoat when things go badly.

In truth, only 6% of the GOP view Putin favorably, which seems like a lot still, but prior to the Ukrainian invasion the US had a 14% favorable view as a whole of him. That later one came from a poll of 55 countries and the US position was 6th worst among said countries. Don't buy into everything they feed you.

I think Sanders would be a great president. He seems to be equal parts pragmatic and to genuinely have the interest of most Americans at heart.

From the GOP…Mitt Romney I suppose would be tolerable however, his economic philosophies are fucking terrible.

Based on what you are saying one can only be held accountable for what happens while they are in office and not for events that take place a year or two after they leave which are the direct result of the policy decisions made while in office. That’s pretty convenient and really fucking dumb.

According to your flawed, compartmentalized reading of world events the Treaty of Versailles would have had nothing to do with WW2.

Trump having a four year record of “global stability” is complete bullshit. The Abraham Accords were a stupid kabuki theatre in that they failed to acknowledge and or address the situation in Palestine which has been and will continue to be a major flash point in the region and the fact that Iran, like it or not is a major power broker in the region. That accord demonstrably did jack shit to resolve the long simmering tensions in the Middle East. Also, it is clear that Trump letting BeeBee and right wing Israelis run wild helped enable the current catastrophe in both Israel and Palestine.

As to the border, again dumb ass Trump and his stupid foreign policy decisions as they related to Venezuela specifically played a large part in the current situation. The whole idea of a “border wall” is dumb and has been proven to be ineffective. I’m glad you like one boodoggle more than another. I personally would prefer neither.

Not sure on Sanders. His programs sound like he'd keep Biden's money press cranked up. Romney might be a good choice from bringing experience and stability to the job. That's what the GOP needs right now.

Even still, Posobiec was being sarcastic in response to all of the leftist propaganda about the MAGA/America First movement being a "Danger to our Democracy." He was poking fun at January 6th being some sort of attempt to overthrow Democracy (with no armed citizens who are all about being armed). This "danger to our democracy" propaganda is one of the actual dangers to our Republic.

Additionally, there is a cultural nuance that can be missed by many who are not part of the MAGA/America First movement. The ruling elite have changed the definition of Democracy to mean "the consensus of institutions of the ruling elite" as opposed to "the consensus of individuals who make up our nation". Therefore it is possible in this new definition of "Democracy" for the majority of Americans desires to be seen as a "Danger to our Democracy", if those desires run up against what the ruling elite and their institutions desire. I hope they're both a shitshow in the debates, maybe people will quit backing 70+ candidates. Some people are still sharp at that age, but there's no reason to award someone the most difficult job in the country when there's a chance for a steep mental decline.

I've said this before, but when Dwayne Johnson's movie career starts to wind down in the next decade the Democrats should throw a shit ton of money at him to run. He's teased stuff as a joke before, but he'd be a guaranteed 2 term President. Few people on the planet are dripping with that much charisma and sheer likability, which is why he'll probably never go into politics. It would be a landslide no matter who he went up against though.
