in the end I’m disappointed that trump and some of his fans took part in democratic tactics on Jan 6th. The republican party is better than that.
I’ll bet Mike Pence disagrees.Succeed? They did succeed at being idiots and going into the capital. Nothing else was at risk
Not for a lack of trying.Succeed? They did succeed at being idiots and going into the capital. Nothing else was at risk
You're such a whiny girl, and not a big tough guy like myself who has uncovered the gay agenda. Not for a lack of trying.
You conveniently ignore Trump pressuring election officials to “find votes”. Ignore Trump trying to force the Vice President to not certify the election results. Ignore members of congress personally giving tours of the capital to seditionists and then immediately turning around and asking daddy Trump for pardons.
Yeah if they watched the hearings they would have seen that Pence’s detail was so concerned over the situation that they were calling their families in case it was the last time they would see them. Not for a lack of trying.

And if it isn’t, will these idiots stfu and admit they were conned? Doubt it. Their truth is impermeable to facts. So if in 10 years or 20 it is discovered that in fact the election was tampered with and or Altered. Do these people become some of the biggest heroes in American history?
Just for conversation sakes.
The only cases of voter fraud I’ve seen be substantiated were republicans voting for trump. So if in 10 years or 20 it is discovered that in fact the election was tampered with and or Altered. Do these people become some of the biggest heroes in American history?

Oh and the MAGa woman official in Colorado tampering with election equipment. The only cases of voter fraud I’ve seen be substantiated were republicans voting for trump.
It's not that they didn't succeed, they COULDN'T possibly succeed even if that was their goal! It's not like they were organized, and they clearly didn't put up a fight, so if their "goal" was to take over they sure did a real piss poor job of it. They brought flag poles to a gun fight FFS. It's almost like they had no intention of orchestrating a violent takeover...So because they didn’t succeed, no big deal. Sensible.
People need to look at the data. Over 5 million people in both 2016 and 2020 voted for at least one Republican on the ballot but didn’t vote for Trump. There were enough votes to be had in both elections to win the Popular Vote, for whatever that is worth. He underperformed other Republicans in the majority of suburban counties, including in states he won. For example, in Texas, which he won, John Cornyn received over 100,000 more votes in the 10 largest counties. In Georgia, he consistently underperformed other Republicans. In 2016 in Georgia, Johnny Isakson received over 77,000 more votes in the 4 biggest counties (all in/around Atlanta) than Trump did. The only difference between the 2 elections was that, for a variety of reasons, there was no Green Party candidate with the profile of Jill Stein who received enough votes to play spoiler. In both elections, Trump lost the popular vote although Republicans added state legislatures, Governorships, lost few U.S. House seats, and maintained at least 50 U.S. Senators. And if it isn’t, will these idiots stfu and admit they were conned? Doubt it. Their truth is impermeable to facts.

Almost … if you ignore the bombs that were planted the night before, the armed people spotted throughout the crowd who didn’t go to the speech because of the magnetometers in place (that Trump said to remove because “they aren’t here to hurt me), the militants in body armor leading the charge in formation carrying zip ties to take prisoners and the communications in the weeks leading up to Jan. 6 that talked about occupying buildings and the stores of guns in being stored off site or the gallows on site. You can ignore all the details of the planning you want and pretend they didn’t happen but it just makes you look like you don’t want it to be true so you choose not to believe. They didn’t put up a fight is my favorite part of your assessment. WTF was I watching on TV Jan 6 if they didn’t put up a fight?
The bombs, yeah. Who was behind that? Bogus argument as they were planted at both RNC and Democrat headquarters...so whose side were they on? They still don't have a motive or a suspect. From PBS:The suspect was covered from head to toe, skulking through the dark streets of the nation’s capital before methodically placing two explosives outside the offices of the Republican and Democratic national committees.
The commander in chief was directing the mob. They didn’t put up a fight when the reinforcements arrived because Trump told them to leave. You should really watch the hearings. It’s pointless arguing with someone who can’t see past his own myopic point of view. You are right and all the WH staffers are lying under oath saying he refused to intercede for 187 minutes and suggested maybe Mike Pence deserves to be hung. This isn’t a court room and I don’t feel like pretending it is. But unless you haven’t followed the hearings and seen all the evidence, you sound like an apologist for some pretty obviously treasonous behavior. 🤔The bombs, yeah. Who was behind that? The confrontations that occurred outside the Capitol were far worse than any video we've seen once the protesters actually got inside. I'm not going to repost, but we saw how the violent, unruly protesters managed to obey the velvet rope barricades inside the Capitol. We saw video from the poster boys, one being the horned headdress Chansley, calling for the protesters to be peaceful and working with the police inside the Capitol. The "insurrection" was over in a matter of hours, and it was reported that the protesters left without a fight when the Guard came in and told them to leave. Congress even managed to reconvene that night to finalize the votes.
You have a lot of "What if's" in your argument. You can talk till you're blue in the face about those, or you can rely on the facts about what occurred and what the protesters actually did. We know there were some bad actors, a handful of idiots that had something more planned, but that got shut down pretty quick and they certainly weren't organized with the vast majority. The FBI concluded the mob wasn't working together with a goal. Again, you can throw out all the "What if's" you want. The fact is they never came close to taking over, if that was their intention, which it wasn't. It's physically impossible to overturn the United States government with a fire extinguisher and a bunch of flag poles. We literally have the most powerful military in the world and they're bound to uphold the Constitution and protect against all threats both foreign and domestic. Making an argument otherwise is just silly.
Forgive me for being an apologist when I'm talking to an alarmist. Why would I waste my time with a show trial conducted by the same party that led two partisan impeachments that amounted to witch hunts, one of which was based on a doctored report that you guys swore up and down proved obvious Russian collusion? Right up there with the obvious treasonous behavior. Every week you guys were in this thread talking about the latest outrage, and how Trump's goose was finally cooked. Nothing happened, and I seriously doubt anything will happen as a result of the trial from a legal standpoint. This is about votes, always has been. It's like the silly people on social media still chanting "Lock her up" to Hillary or "Lock him up" towards Trump. It's never happening. The commander in chief was directing the mob. Yeah, those WH staffers under oath would never lie. I trust their testimony fully, especially the parts where they spouted off a bunch of hearsay that's already been debunked. I can't believe anybody thought Trump would or could overpower a SS agent and grab the wheel, much less have a bunch of media further that notion. Here we are a year and a half into Biden and liberals still have Trump on the brain because they have to distract from the fact Biden is currently polling lower than Trump was on January 6th.
A group of idiots breaking into the Capitol isn't a violent coup. Try to compare that with BLM riots from 2020 or federal courthouses being set ablaze by Antifa and it's not close, but you live in an alternate reality. But not the violent coup to try to reverse the will of the voters? If I’m not mistaken I said this is where we were headed 5 years ago and you said I was wrong then, too. Wisdom really isn’t your thing.
So if in 10 years or 20 it is discovered that in fact the election was tampered with and or Altered. Do these people become some of the biggest heroes in American history?

To say that it wasn't at all violent isn't reality.A group of idiots breaking into the Capitol isn't a violent coup. Try to compare that with BLM riots from 2020 or federal courthouses being set ablaze by Antifa and it's not close, but you live in an alternate reality.
I’m for real. It’s literally not reality. If I took the time to post the hundreds of videos there are of the violence these people still wouldn’t admit it. They can’t.To say that it wasn't at all violent isn't reality.
Are you serious Clark? So if I understand you will not be watching nor care to watch yet you will base your conclusion of of someone else's version? Hmmmm
IDK man, kind of seems like thats the wrong way of going about it. Depends on who you get your final assessment from at that point. Also misses the forest for the trees.
Insurrection implies a well organized plan to overthrow. This riot was about as unorganized as it gets. There is a big difference between sedition and outright insurrection.
Ok, so a couple of people engaged in seditious behavior. They were charged and will do about 5 years. Good.
Trump isn’t going to get the nomination. He knows and you can bet that if Trump wins the Republican nomination, he’ll gladly vote for him because “lib tears”
Nah Trump is like a Ferrari bro.As a conservative Republican, it’s mind-boggling to me that people are still embracing a loser. When McCain and Romney lost we (GOP voters) told them to get lost, and deservedly so as they had failed us. When George HW Bush lost re-election in 1992, the base told him to get lost and not even think about running again in 1996. If he had been going around the country holding rallies in 1994, we all would’ve said that he needed to be put into a home. Why are we not being consistent and telling this loser to pound sand? This is the same jackass who cost us control of the Senate. He parroted the Lin Wood and Sidney Powell talking points and paraded them around the state where they told GOP voters to boycott the runoff. Because of him, we now have to hold our breaths every time Manchin and Sinema cast their votes. Are we that soft as a party? Also, the guy is going to be 78 in 2024. As we are seeing with Biden, no one in their late 70’s/early 80’s should ever be President again.
Insurrection: a violent uprising against an authority or government. … You are changing the definition of a word to suggest that it implies a “well-organized plan.” It doesn’t.Insurrection implies a well organized plan to overthrow. This riot was about as unorganized as it gets.
I’m thinking if this was an insurrection, the participants would have been arrested and tried for treason.
Sure it does. You think all of these governments that have been overthrown through the years succumbed to a bunch of people with no plan or leader?Insurrection: a violent uprising against an authority or government. … You are changing the definition of a word to suggest that it implies a “well-organized plan.” It doesn’t.
Cack, you have ZERO credibility in this discussion. You lecturing any of us or telling us what to think about anything political is a joke. You're the most politically naive and gullible and easily brainwashed person on IE. I'm not trying to be rude or hurt your feelings, but JFC Cack.I’m for real. It’s literally not reality. If I took the time to post the hundreds of videos there are of the violence these people still wouldn’t admit it. They can’t.
