LOL - pedophiles and corruption are unique to Republicans? C'mon man. Nobody in their right mind goes into politics - you have an enormous selection bias for sociopathic narcissists and thus the disgusting elements will permeate both sides. Not to mention degenerates are easier for power brokers to control. If you have no kompromat the FBI/CIA/DNC/RNC/Mossad/CPC/et al are not going to be able to control you. If they can't control you, they sure as shit aren't funding you. And without that funding, your career ain't going nowhere. Which is why someone like Massie has to materialize out of a district like KY-04.

Aimless wars seem to be supported by Dems now too - Rs grift on war, Ds grift on social programs. It's a symbiotic relationship of grift that leaves us with $7T of annual spending of which at least half goes to funding our own demise.

The "team" blows ass. The only thing keeping Neocons from being the absolute worst are the bulk of democrats that are a combination of retarded and crazy. The fact that someone recovering from a stroke operating on fractional brain capacity has more sense than their majority is all you need know about the state of the Democrat party. Without demonizing the opposition they have nothing. Brain rotting a generation to build a commie mob to intimidate is working out great for them - Rs suck for letting schools go to shit. Need conservative values defaulted toward liberty, not neocon grifters selling out values at the first opportunity to play in the sand with/for their Israeli handlers.
This is bonkers.

First of all, vehemently hate the “everyone is terrible and corrupt” nonsense. That’s exactly how we got into the race to bottom we’re now living through everyday.

There are people, both Democrats and Republicans, who are in public service because they genuinely believe in America as the beacon on the hill. There are genuinely people who believe in serving the public, lifting up humanity, and looking after their neighbors. Bad actors don’t speak for everybody. Not everybody is a selfish and corrupt pedophile protector. And not everyone is ok with it.

Start believing the worst of everyone and you end up with the worst of the worst.

Demand more from people, hold them to that standard, and guess what you get?

This jaded dystopian worldview is how we give up on humankind: beam me up Elon!

OK Pollyanna. I would love to hear your bipartisan list of Mr. Smith's.

Well, then you're wrong for that opinion too. Fetterman refuses to toe the party line and clearly puts country over party, which is what we'd like for ALL politicians to do.
Why is trump trying to get Massie out for not falling in line with the rest of MAGA? He is clearly putting country over party

I don't know enough about Massie to have an opinion on him or his situation. I don't recall ever hearing of him until this week.

Scott Jennings says hello! Are you kidding me? YOU of ALL people have no clue who Thomas Massie is? Have you had your head in the sand for the last year?!

Just like Scott Jennings nightly on CNN when he doesn't want to justify his one way pandering to Trump and the MAGA line, he replies: "I don't know him" or "I don't know much about that." And so on.

calvegas beat me to it... For example, Drayer states "He’s (Massie) also not a team player and the team doesn’t have to back someone who isn’t a team player. It’s simple."

You say Fetterman is not captive to the Democrat Party line and "he thinks for himself" when he takes on MAGA viewpoints, but when Massie a pretty loyal Republican including to Trump, takes a stand on a few important things he thinks are more important to the country and his constituents, and is actually thinking for himself and the interests of his constituents, "he's not a team player."

You can't have it both ways...

NDW called Fetterman a putz for doing so. I never said anything about Massie. How did he get dragged into this?

I don't dislike Fetterman because he goes against the Democrat Party line... He does that, but only to echo the MAGA line.

That and knowing AIPAC is behind him big time, and hearing him talk policy, leads me to my "putz" conclusion.

All this good ribbing aside, I'm still worried about this admin and what they might do to stop the walls from closing in on them.

They are not a group that is just going to lose power, roll over, and walk away, that's for sure.

With its motley crew of Christian Nationalists, Billionaire Tech Bros. who think they're God, and Crazed Lunatics like Stephen Miller, there's no telling what they will do to stay in power.

Are you saying they are out this week talking about a break glass scenario to prevent being locked out from government like Gavin Newsom literally just said this week? Those are some slow moving walls. Wasn’t Mueller supposed to clinch it?

That's for CA, not the country and rn, no one has any idea what he's talking about...

And as far as you're "blah, blah, blah... heard it before," I'm not talking about options to take down the admin, I'm talking about what the current admin might do to cement their power and "lock out" any opposition whatsoever: False Flag, Martial Law, start locking up all the "Leftist Lunatics." You name it.

The options are as endless as the combined (twisted) imaginations of Stephen Miller, Steve Bannon, and Russell Vought.

Trump talked about him A LOT during the whole big beautiful bill vote

Scott Jensen says hello! Are you kidding me? YOU of ALL people have no clue who Thomas Massie is? Have you had your head in the sand for the last year?!

Do either of you know how rarely I actually watch TV news (and I've mentioned this multiple times on IE over the years)? I probably haven't seen a total of 60 minutes of FOX, CNN, MSNBC or any other news channels in the past two years, other than election night coverage. Scott Jennings is in my YouTube feed, but other than that I see almost no cable or broadcast news shows. I read. I read from a WIDE range of sites on both sides of the aisle. When something newsworthy happens, I catch it on my YouTube feed or read about it online.

Sorry, I meant Scott Jennings, not Jensen.

Ok, but it's all over the written news as well. Well, we'll give you the BoTD then... All you need to know is per the X post calvegas just posted here re: what Massie just told the reporter harassing him for his 9% of going against Trump and MAGA Republicans votes.

Trump is raging because Massie doesn't vote his wished 100% of the time, but really because the big vote against him is for the release of the Epstein Files which really irks Trump.

I watch near zero news other than local stuff every once in a while when the wife has it on. This Massie stuff has been pretty big news for a while

How do you feel about Mazie Hirono?

I truly don't know that much about her. I did just watch her tee it up against Ted Cruz (who also is a putz) and I thought she made some rational statements on voters are and will be suppressed under the recent LA Supreme Court ruling and if the SAVE Act passes.

I'm sure she's not perfect, but she sticks to her beliefs and her campaigns appear to be funded 91% by NON-PAC $ and she has voted against Israel funding without restrictions in place re: their human rights abuses.

Also, she's a lawyer, She received Japan's Order of the Rising Sun Gold and Silver Star for her "significant contributions in strengthening bilateral relations and promoting legislative exchanges between Japan and the United States; and she survived Stage 4 Kidney cancer and had one kidney removed from the ordeal.

So from what I can see she is a decent politician and calls out folks for real answers, e.g., like during confirmation hearings.

Why do you ask? Is there something you don't like about her other than that she is an educated woman and a Democrat?
