Happy liberation day for all that celebrate
I have celebrated it by having a morning full of Bay Street (Canada's Wall Street) firms complaining non-stop about how stupid this all is. The speed at which people deciding on where to allocate millions/billions of their investments/capital is incredible. Had an international logistics client begin plans to pull back on it's manufacturing of belting within the US and shift it to Mexico, they were going to speed a few hundred million to build out plants and office throughout the US.

Who knows, maybe they're just woke antifa soy boys and don't truly understand the economy like Joe Dirt.

Hi. This can't be correct. I was told this was going to make businesses come to the US.

What's the financial reasoning behind the client's decision?

They loved the idea of Trump winning again. They thought he would just pick up where he left off with his tax cuts for corporations.

A lot of their raw materials are from Germany/Switzerland/Italy and it doesn't make sense to pay the tariffs on those materials that may get picked up in a tradewar. They'd rather use their American spots as more administrative. They had pegged Tennessee/Georgia/Kentucky as spots to buildout but they don't think it makes sense financially to do it. They've focused on Southern America as it's becoming a good stable option with "robust" employment standards lol. (ie. they don't have to worry about strong unions).

Eric Daugherty is an idiot. Does he not understand how trade wars work?

How do you get these dipshits in your algos?
