National polling doesn't really matter at this point. It all comes down to Iowa/NH. Real issue is a bunch of non Trump candidates want to stake their campaign on Iowa, often in ways that make them toxic in NH. If Trump wins Iowa/NH it becomes really hard to stop him even if the opposition consolidates.

The challengers would all probably prefer him over another challenger because they could run again in 2028, so I fear the drop outs might endorse Trump.
