the biggest NIL bags are going to be a product of desperation - see A&M and Miamihttps://irishsportsdaily.com/forums/1/topics/92456 — ISD reporting that Auburn/Florida teams to beat for CJ Daniels, presumably because they’re throwing around the biggest bags.
Did he finally jump in the portal?ND is reportedly in the mix here.
Opened their wallet. Going to be a lot of pressure on him this coming season.great pick up for OSU.
I was really hoping ND would be able to attract him with the OC hire and the other pieces already brought in. I can't imagine going to that Florida team even if the money was more. It's been a dumpster fire.https://irishsportsdaily.com/forums/1/topics/92456 — ISD reporting that Auburn/Florida teams to beat for CJ Daniels, presumably because they’re throwing around the biggest bags.
I highly doubt our depth is scaring any high-end receivers. If they are potential #1s for other teams, they are a potential #1 for us even with the recent additions. Also we are already bringing in 2 receivers.. just not going to be as attractive for wideouts with our depth ironically
Are there really any wrs in the portal that are locks to start for ND? I don't think mitchell or Collins are locks to start over Thomas/Greathouse/Faison.I highly doubt our depth is scaring any high-end receivers. How is he still eligible?
Was gonna say the same plus he’s actually goodWe should go after Texas Safety Jerrin Thompson We recruited him out of HS
This guy shouldn’t even be eligible for a 6th year. He played in five games (albeit briefly in most of those games) in 2019, then started in each of the past 4 yearsI'm so over the 27 year old COVID players.
Any insight as to why he’s transferring? Seems weird he’d leave his current situation unless he was in danger of losing playing timeWe should go after Texas Safety Jerrin Thompson We recruited him out of HS
The argument I’ve seen is that he appeared in at least one game just to kneel down and run out the clock. I have no idea if that has merit under the present rules. This guy shouldn’t even be eligible for a 6th year. So he’s already played 5 years including the COVID year. Why should he get a 6th year if he never redshirted? So dumb. I hope the NCAA denies eligibility

Hartman redshirted in 2019 so it’s a different situation. With the COVID year, he was legitimately eligible for 2023 (only 2018, 2021, and 2022 counted)Uh, are we forgetting our own quarterback already?
Apparently, this year there were about 4-5 Safeties rotating including Jalen Catalon who we've kicked tires on and is an actual GT looking to transfer again also out of TX, but he is / has been prone to injuries. And apparently, a few younger guys emerged as starters and played a lot more by end of season (and of course, Catalon was out injured); and then, they got Andrew Mukuba from Clemson via the TP so I guess he's looking to go somewhere where he can contribute more. Not really sure if getting a good/better $ bag is a factor here or not.
