It will take an Indiana Jones Temple of Doom effort to reveal the mystery.

Rashod Owens at Oklahoma State is a name to keep an eye on. WR grad transfer, has 650 yards this year

I'm tired of the we averaged more points per game this year than ever narrative. Totally unvalidated. The ACC was FUCKING terrible this year and the only two legit teams we played in our schedule from it embarrassed our offensive play calling.. Couple that with the atrocious display from the Ohio St game.. Plus we scheduled a mac team and an FCS school. Our schedule created those stats not the play calling
The offense played well against OSU. More yards, more yards per play, and more yards per carry then Michigan. Difference being that Michigan’s defense can catch an interception on the final drive.

I said this to some friends last night.

I long for the days of Ara and Lou when kids were happy to play for a scholly, kept their heads down and mouths shut.
The key is not following every move with the program, every day. Stay off the internet, read a couple of stories about the team in fall camp, grab a roster, and then watch the games when they start up. I don’t think the 24/7 following of the program is a net positive as it relates to enjoyment.

On the flip side, if we had the internet during Lou’s time, the amount of bitching and angst would be the same. “Five straight #1 classes and he’s only won 1 title”. “You can’t win with this archaic offense”.

I’ve decided to embrace the chaos. Makes the off-season more fun.

Pointing to ppg is either incredibly disingenuous or you managed to miss all of: OSU, Louisville, Duke, Clemson games.

It’s not entirely disingenuous. Teams almost always struggle against the better D’s. ND isn’t an exception. A more reasonable approach would be to remove the high and low scores to get your average or compare to other teams who played against the same or similar defenses

Michigan scored 30 and we scored 14
It’s almost like turnovers and field position can affect points scored. Novel concept I know.

Not to mention missed versus made field goals and other variables.

Regardless, our offense was not a disaster against a very good defense that gives up 11 pts a game.

And convert a fourth and short
Score should have been about 24-13

Some more recent follows from Riley because I think he’s recruiting behind the scenes.
CJ Daniels Liberty WR 6’2 had almost 1,000 yards will have 1 year left.
Aki Ogunbiyi backup guard for A&M
