Honestly it is probably pretty normal and fine for the new era. ND just will have to put in 2x the work to get guys that are frosh or grads.

But I personally hate the transfer portal era. Sam "The Hair" Hartman going to go down as our big transfer portal win? Whoop dee doo. Tradeoff is we have to spend every December indulging the whims of 19 year olds (I was a Dillon Hall dumbass at that age) to keep a team together?

Notre Dame’s gonna have to lose players from position with actual depth before it can add portal transfers to fix all the WR losses to the portal.

There's about 20 WR's in the portal better than any guy we lost already no reason we can't land 1-2 of these guys.

1. No WR coach
