I must be missing the running part of the dual threat will Howard. 1/3 of his rushing yards came from one game. And he kinda sucked in the snow against Iowa State.
Think I'd rather go with Angelli than Howard personally. Unless you can get a Howard type without committing a starters spot.

The absolute ceiling for Angeli in a few years is probably Will Howard. The difference is the actual Will howard has ~25 starts and thrown for almost 6k yards and rushed for almost 1k yards vs Angeli that hasn't started a game, thrown for 2-300 yards, no rushing.

Give me the relatively finished product for next year all day. We need to have a good season next year, and it could have the potential to be really good depending on what moves Freeman makes. That allows the higher potential QBs in Carr/Minchey more time to develop. We need Carr/Minchey to be ready to fly in 2025, we don't get there if we have a crap 2024. Can't risk having a crap 2024.

Really not that crazy of a number. ND had 12 outgoing transfers last year. Brandon Joseph left early. Mayer left early. There were a few medical retirements. Probably looking at similar numbers to last year.

A year ago I’d agree with you. But I watch a lot of football played by this guy over the past few years and I’d stay far away from him based on last year’s performance. Live arm, but the knock on him is he cannot read a zone defense to save his life (has something like 11 interceptions his last five games). And his body language since Miami’s Georgia Trch debacle has been downright horrifying.

Think he ends up at SMU with Lashlee, his old OC.

'24 will be his 6th season:

Redshirted in 2019, played 2020 (COVID) year then played 21, 22, 23. Has a year of eligibility left and should be an academic GT.
