We should take a look at this 6’5” WR from Rice! He’s much older (25) after 3 yrs with a cc and then 4 yrs at Rice. A solid high jumper for Rice, a team MVP, a solid ‘22 and a nose for the ball in the red zone! And he has an NFL grade/profile Rice 2023 NFL Draft Scouting Reports Include Bradley Rozner and Ikenna Enechukwu

I actually like taking Riley Leonard as a high upside option when you know you've got Angeli, who at the very least will be able to run the offense, behind him. Riley could actually be a 2 year start unless my Covid year math is off.

Unless Brady Cook or Michael Pratt are interested, he may be your best bet.

Since he wasn't an EE he probably won't have his degree. Getting him through admissions just like Brandon Joseph before him would support my theory that ND can take non-grad transfers that are 2-3 years out of HS as long as they attend an elite academic institution. Freeman needs to have Bowden or someone else that will tamper the hell out of the good 2nd and 3rd year players from Stanford, Northwestern, Duke, and Vanderbilt.

That's the big thing for me. I've always maintained that in order for a northern team to compete with sec speed, an athlete at qb is an absolute must. The guy needs to give you 4-5 1st downs/ game when nothing is there.

Now the accuracy/ lack of tds this year gives me and many others pause. If we had a qb whisperer as a coach, I'd feel more confident. Maybe bring Cutcliffe up from Carolina as an analyst? He's 69 and works for the sec apparently.

Came to appreciate Book this year when our offense stalled over and over in big games. Ability to pick up a first down here and there with your legs is such a massive edge.

And the OC doesn't seem to understand when the OL is somewhat 'overpowered' based on opposing defensive calls that; slants, button-hooks and PA should be run.

Maybe I'm reading way too much into this, but if ND is seriously talking to those type of guys, they must have someone they're pitching as an OC for next year too.

Serious question, how are we "looking" at someone, so much so in Riley's case the beats are running with it when they haven't even hit the portal? ND showing they'd tamper would be a level of commitment to winning we know they don't have. So how does this work pre portal?
