Good news about any of this is I think they will be after a bigger guy for the hire now. Sounds like their is way too much stuff behind the scenes going on that they don't like. I bet the biggest issue is most of the offensive players don't agree with Parker being OC and it would make sense because basically no defensive players have jumped ship yet.

Hey now, careful. Some people here will tell you we can’t necessarily infer that this is Parker’s fault.

They will point to Chansi or the new portal world, even though we didn’t see anything close to this after Del + no other top team is seeing anything close to the WR attrition that we are.

I believe Parker is the root issue and the fallout is partially that and partially how Freeman handled it thus far (ie scapegoating Stuckey)

Wouldn't surprise me if a lot of these offensive players lookee around college football and had to get 30, 40 programs down the list before finding another program with an OC as inept as ours. Sans Iowa of course.

Sheesh - I go into a couple meetings this afternoon, come back to my desk to check IE, and the place has had a total meltdown.

Seriously, this is the way that college football is going to operate going forward. The off-season is going to be mass chaos going forward. I really don't understand getting all worked up over some players (who most of the naysayers were unhappy with most of them anyway) opting out. They will be replaced - hopefully with better players - and life will go on.

Monday we will not be able to keep up with the number of players entering the portal across college football. This hysteria is something else.

ACKSHULLY - it doesnt work both ways IMO. We can lose a player to anyone. We can only gain players who are freshman or graduates. So our possible downside pool is 100% - our upside pool is probably ~25% of what is out there every cycle?

As far as the Driskell phone call live on air, then the Ryan Roberts’ James tweet & Rico noise…

It sounds like their sources told them that since the kids had a few more days to decide being underclassmen, ND was working to change their minds.
And that ND felt confident it was working.

Then Driskell got that phone call from a different source telling him “nope.”

So Driskell was freaking out trying to figure what was happening while he live on air.

Ryan Roberts was told James changed his mind & was staying (that’s what ND thought).
But James changed it back, thus the tweet by others.

It’s a shit show right now with what ND staff feel is happening & what is actually happening.

Apparently the staff don’t know their players very well.
