Seriously, I'm in the middle enough to realize this guy is just making a case for Tommy... and is the only guy in this thread, including me, to post anything of substance (his stat post)...

yet we continue to troll him while calling him a troll....... just saying.

Michigan State ring a bell?

yes it does, while he beat them I'd hardly say he performed stellar. He had a meager 161 yards with 1 td and 1 interception. While I understand every game can't be pretty I'm fairly certain Dayne or Andrew could have put up those numbers that day.

To say this poster is looking for attention would be an understatement.
Tommy? Are you kidding me?
Look at his resume. He has beaten 2 good teams in 2 years. Mich.St. this year and Utah last year(even though they were incredibly overrated, they were still #15.)
Nate Montana could've gone out and beaten up on some of the teams Tommy did(like Army last year and Wake this year.)
The sophomore curse is a regular occurrence, but he had a sophomore MELTDOWN. I would be more than willing to let any one of you guys on this board step in to fill his shoes right now.No joke.

I honestly don't believe he has much of ceiling. He was already visibly bigger and stronger than the previous season and he still has an average (being nice) to below average arm. Little to no mobility. He delays action on his reads and continually hangs receivers/tight ends out to dry (Eifert in particular). He will not have the blessing of MF3 to bail him out and opposing defensive coordinators seem to have found the recipe to confuse and thwart him. I like Tommy, kid's got heart, passion, and he seems like a great kid. He has a hot, feisty sister. That I like. Actually that I love. But in all honesty the kid will not be the ND starter for the year, in my opinion. If so, we may be in for a long, long year.

I don't really think Tommy was every brought to ND to be really a starter. He got pushed into the role as a true frosh. With Dayne hurt and Nate horrible, we had to throw him in there. He was there in the spring and had the best grasp of the playbook, and Dayne had an EYE injury so I don't think the medical/coaching staff thought it would be a long term injury. We didn't wanna pull Hendrix's redshirt. So they sent him in and he did pretty well because of his knowledge of the game and not trying to do too much. This season however w/ more of a spotlight on him and more critiquing, his lack of certain things were brought to light.

Who said he performed stellar? Not me. But you insinuated that he played very poorly against every good defense he saw. Well, Michigan State was a Top 10 defense, and he played well (not great, but well) against them.

I'm not ready to comment on who will be our starter next year, but I think we'll have one hell of a practice squad.

So 1 out of 4 makes him a good qb and one who is best for our future?

I would LOVE to hear why you think he should start man. This place is for opinions and I'll surely listen to yours. Why do YOU think Tommy Rees should start next season?

I don't think you'll get many takers on if people think he should start. Some may believe he will because no one else is really proven, but my opinion is that Hendrix (better arm, more time under his belt to learn the system, and more mobility) would get the call above Tommy if, god forbid, neither Golson or Kiel were the clear cut #1.

You really need to watch more football. Wake Forest was actually a decent team this year and you are way overstating how bad he was this season. By no means did Tommy have a good or great year but you should try speaking with stats and/or well thought out opinions.

Ok i think he should start because of his accuracy 66.5 which set a ND record. He is a winner 12-4 which is better then Jimmy, Brady and Joe Montanas Freshmen and Sophmore years, do u want me to go on?
