Didn't care though, I spent almost my entire 20s watching us lose to USC. It was a tall order to go into the Coliseum as a true freshman and win that game. Couldn't remember before that what my happiest win was, but it was like a weight lifted. Those final 4 games in 2010 probably saved BK's career and got us the eventual 2017 rebuild.

He's with the Falcons now, but they're in a world of hurt too. Penix and Tua are both out, Cooper Rush as 3rd string is not good. Still probably in a better position than the Brows right now with Watson.

The person who left said voicemail is an exception and not the rule. It's utterly ludicrous and probably not even the most ridiculous reaction to Oregon losing last weekend.

Which, Tommy to Oregon, or Tommy to ND, or both?
If the Falcons get Penix back, Atlanta has a real chance to turn things around in an NFC South division that is wide open. Still a tall order to create success, but there's no real heavy hitters in that division to stop them. If they make some playoffs and win some games it could open up some good jobs for Rees.

The ND job, on the other hand, is tougher even when Freeman retires one day. I feel like it would be hard to follow Freeman unless he manages to tank in the coming years. The fanbase has always had that love/hate relationship with Tommy, I wouldn't want to step back into that again personally. I think he could do a good job though, few HCs would know the university better than him coming into that role.
