Two things.
In my time following ND football, I have seen and heard a lot of stories about cops acting... lets say.. 'over zealously' regarding ND kids at keggers. It's a little much and leads me to think that there must be some kind of breakdown with messaging coming from ND faculty to the police.
Second, if it's true that Tommy had to be dragged down and fought back while being arrested, I could totally understand if that was the end of his tenure on the team.
It's part of what makes ND different, we don't tolerate Irish football players kicking cops and being arrested for battery. It sucks, I may not be a fan of Tommy as a QB but I am a fan of his as a person.
Postscript: I think it's a little funny that Tommy tried to run away... his escapability didn't serve him too well in this instance either huh?
