Tiger made and incredible shot at 16 to win today at Memorial to tie Jack at 2nd all time with 73 PGA tour wins. After his shot at 16, Jack told him that it was the best shot he had ever seen at Memorial. The birdie he had at 18 was the first birdie to finish a tournament since i believe 2009. Solid round by the Red Shirt.

I know some feel strongly against Tiger after the marital issues and what not, but I for one am glad he is back playing well again. Let's hope he can keep it up.

On a side note, I really hate the spikes he's been wearing lately.

He's a prick. Screw him and anyone who still likes him.

Well, I still like him and think he's good for the progression of the game soooo...

Yeah and he's also a terrible human being. I'm not telling you who to root for but he's definitely a jackass. He's great for golf, but just a dispicable person.

Great year for golf. All of these young guys coming up, Tiger apparently getting his skills up. Lots of great golf left.

I am torn on the issue. Yeah, he cheated on his wife and that is awfullllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll. But she got like 300mil out of it and he is a rock star. You should know what you're getting into when you marry a rock star.

I can't wait to see him come back to the old Tiger. He brings fan to the course and that means MONEY. Not mention he is probably going to be the best golfer ever.

I don't like that he cheated on his wife but he only did what 60% of the men in the country are doing the only difference is that he is worth a billion dollars. i will say it again there is NO reason to cheat just leave.

I agree with the past few sentiments. His wife did come after him with a club too soooooo....

If one were to not be friends with people who cheated, there wouldn't be too many options left. Forgive and forget. Go Tiger.

It's not just that he cheated on his wife. He also throws tantrums on the course and acts like a child when he hits a bad shot. He needs to grow up.

This thread is supposed to be about his performance at Memorial, gentlemen, not his shenanigans.

He lost his way as a man, and he's paid dearly for it. Hope he has learned a lesson. And I will not be so bold as others to condemn him. If any of us held the status, fame and power he did for so long, can you honestly say you would not have made mistakes, be they of a similar nature or not? If you are honest, no you could not. Leave the judgement of his character to the one who matters - God. Tiger is after all only human. And he who is without sin......

On a lighter note, I am very glad to see his game rounding back into shape. I saw Jack play towards the end of his career, and he is the greatest to play the game. Now I get to see Tiger play his entire career. So all I care is that I am able to say I saw the two greatest golfers to ever play the game.

Not condoning any of the behavior but it is that behavior that draws us in, obviously along with his talent...Jordan, great player (the best even) but a sh*tty person...Kobe...Barry Bonds...i could go on for days...but thats what makes people so passionate in their liking or dislike for thse guys...I really dont think anyone who likes tiger really believes he's a great person...we just admire his talent...

I can't stand the asshat and could care less if this was his last victory. I would much rather a guy like Luke Donald, Rory or any other person be the face the game.

He is a great golfer, but seeing him throw clubs, swear, and generally act like a d-bag makes me happy.

It would have been great to see Jack and Tiger play against each other in their primes. Epic!

Anybody see Tiger's press conference after the tournament? Jack came in, sat beside him, they both answered questions. They obviously have respect for each other but you could tell there's a little tension there IMO. You can bet that neither would admit the other was a better player.

Big egos there.

Jack is the ultimate Rip Van Grumplestein... That man is never happy.

He's a pro golfer, his personal life is none of your business unless he does something criminal.

The PGA and the golf industry need Tiger to get back on top.

Heck, I remember when Jack was not popular at all. When he came in and started beating Palmer there were a lot of people that hated him. I didn't like him either.

Jack earned his respect over time. Well earned though.
