**** Bud...

The Cubs aren't in it this year so a dream match ain't happenin anyway... ESPN will hate no matter what now that they don't have a contract (see the NHL, who beats the NBA in seven common markets and gets HAMMERED by ESPN), and it's Bud's fault for selling the sport as a two market (boston and new york) sport for ten years...

.....

okay, I think the baseball fan in me is done for now...

The baseball fan in me has been done since May 28th, when I watched the Cards beat my Cubbies at my first Wrigley experience. That being said (typed), I enjoyed. I hope my Cubs do well next year.

Now, go Rangers! I'll pull for them I suppose.

Supposedly the Cubbies savior is coming next year

OK. Sure. Yeah. Whatever you say.

I was born in Manhattan and forced to sign a pre-natal agreement to be a Yankee fan for life. It wasn't easy wielding the pen with my twin sister in the womb cramping my style and taking up elbow room.

As it stands, I've lived in Minnesota for 32 years, as opposed to 6 in New York and 20 in Florida. Should the Yankees choose to attempt enforcement of their coerced contract [Sign or you'll never be born!] I'll tie them up in court for the rest of my natural life.

GO TWINS!

keep deaming on joe going to cubs. he's not going anywhere I hope at least.

I take the yankees and phillies. I would love for the braves to get to world series in bobby cox last year but they don't have the hitting to get there.

I'm just really glad acamp's angels didn't make it because the yankees have trouble with them in playoffs.

Phils not making the Series again would be a major upset

as for who makes it from the junior circuit, probably will come down to an all East matchup. Anyone but the Yankees is still my motto.

Agreed. I think Rays vs Phillies FWI.

GO TWINS!!!!!!!!!!

Last year's sweep to the Yankees sucked, hope it's a great series (with the Twins winning, of course).

ESPN will hate no matter what now that they don't have a contract (see the NHL, who beats the NBA in seven common markets and gets HAMMERED by ESPN)

but a ratings nightmare.

I don't see any possible match up in the WS this year getting huge ratings... MAYBE the giants/yanks??

and ESPN already started their hate-fest... it was the lead story on baseball (not the playoffs) that attendence fell for the 3rd straight year this season by literally small percentages... yet they fail to mention every sport has been hit (yes even the NFL) by this economy or the fact TV continues to take fans away from the parks and arenas in general... basically they covered it as "A baseball problem"

this really burns me... basketball gets killed in many ways and nothing is reported b/c ESPN has a huge investment in that sport, hockey and baseball hurts in ways too but that's ALL YOU HEAR about those sports from that network... the minute ESPN cut back on their coverage I said this would happen, and now here it is... ESPN is basically MSNBC or Fox News just with sports.

I would think Phillies/Yankees would get a pretty good ratings, even though it's a rematch of last year.

I watch the World Series no matter who plays, I haven't missed a WS game in quite a while. I enjoy watching it no matter who's playing.

Go Twins!

I got Yankees/Rays in the ALCS and Phillies/Braves in the NLCS. East Division rivals in both series = best playoffs in a while?
Maybe that's too easy of a prediction...

Yankees vs. Rays

Braves vs. Phillies

Braves vs. Rays

The Braves do it for Bobby...

But if I was putting money down..I would pick the Phillies over the Rays in 6 games

Just watched ESPN's 30 on 30 on the Redsox 3-0 comeback. I forgot how insane that was. I was pulling for the Sox so hard, now I could careless if they ever win again.

I love post-season baseball. In the Northeast, it seems to snap from Summer to Fall in an instant. Chilly with some breezy or rainy conditons. The occasional smell of wood burning. Everyone burried shoulder to shoulder in small bars. Its glorious.

Ugh don't mention that. Although I had a chance to see it from a different side in hockey last year so since my love for the Flyers out weighs my love for the Yankees its all good..

That Flyers Run was insane as well- Bruins game 7--I left they were down 1-0. Took a 12 minute cab ride downtown to a bar and they were down 3-0.

I wasnt a Redsox fan, just wanted to see history in that series and then them finally win it all-- now i regret it all. Fans annoy me.
