The press always runs with this, but how did they figure that out? When the news reports how much CW is supposedly making, they always say the total contract is "reportedly worth ____." The contract itself is subject to CW's privacy, so no news reporter has seen it or can publicly state how much his year to year pay is. They arrive at that figure by simply dividing the total "reported" value of the contract by the number of years.

I have heard from people with ties to the admin that his contract is very back loaded and incentive laden. I think that's what LMI meant when he says CW doesn't make $4m per year currently. The exact details obviously are only known by CW and the admin at ND.

Most embarrassing win over SD St. (at home), most embarrassing loss to Syracuse (at home), can't hold a lead (up 28-7 to Stanford, up 27-7 to Navy, up 17-3 to Pitt, up 17-9 to UNC, up 23 -10 over Syracuse). He says they were a lousy team last year? He was a worse coach. He says they are a decent team this year? They were capable of being a good team but thanks to Charlie they were a lousy team. Not because of a 6-5 record but because of the way they found ways to lose after demonstrating they were better than the competition. These kids are not being developed and it started showing at UNC. When people ask the question about what good coaches are out there? I would take a ton of coaches over CW. He is not a good head coach and not a good assitant position college coach. He is one good thing....a recruiter. He gave us 1-2 good years, Ty gave us one and so did Davies. If we get any one of the different coaches mentioned in the various posts we will be better off. We are just too one dimensional. ND is known for it's ground game and it's tough physical type of play (which CW promised and hasn't delivered). CW has fielded some of the softest teams physically at ND. I like alot of things about him but he can't get these kids fired up.

10+ years minus 4 years! He has not had a good year sense being at Notre Dame. Even when we were winning the OL was always the problem against the larger teams.

Sometimes kicker is left footed, holder is right handed, and snapper snaps too fast to a target off to the side. Get a clue Weis.

Yes, true, sorry. Step forward two feet, huh? When you have a man lined up across from you he's about two inches away on the snap and will make first contact in tenths of a second.

When the play is going to the left, you block to the right. Lets say that you're running between the right guard and tackle....the guard pushes, or attempts to push, his man to the left and the tackle pushes his man to the right...it opens the hole. Blocking is the simplest part of the game and the most difficult task to perform.

I wasn't attempting to try TO simplify the issue. Blocking is blocking and, no, it's nothing more elegant than that.

Walker's technique is all wrong. He needs to decide if he is "soccer style", or straight up old school. He is a hybrid. I won't go into details, but his technique shortens ability to kick long and accurate. History of bad snaps and holds crushes confidence.
