So how could you tell he was sick beyond just his fussiness? Did he have a temperature or other symptoms? That’s my biggest fear that my boy would be sick and I just mistake it for him having an off day.
Honestly he has been fine in between puking up whatever is in his stomach. Everything was good all weekend until yesterday morning. He usually gets 8oz bottles 4x a day with solid foods in between about 1.5-2 hours after his morning and afternoon bottles.
Well he yacked everywhere yesterday morning; we thought maybe we over fed him. Took him to church...threw up during the gospel reading 1 hour later so we knew something was up and took off. Tried another bottle, only ate half (not like him) and then he puked 2 more times.
Pediatrician said stomach viruses are going around like crazy right now. He's honestly in good spirits, his stomach just won't keep anything down rn. She said it's a 24-48 hour thing 99% of the time. Biggest thing is to avoid dehydration.
Best advice I can give you is to just always err on the side of caution. If you are worried, don't be shy to seek medical help. I know our pediatrician offers online help too, for non-emergency questions. Don't worry about being the over paranoid parent. my wife thought we were being crazy or silly to bring our boy in this morning, but then he puked up the 6 oz he ate this earlier this morning while we were there, and we got some really good advice from our doc. Better to be safe than sorry.
