I ran into Jerome Bettis at the Pittsburgh Airport yesterday. Nice guy, said he likes Kelly a lot.

On a side note, Only in Pittsburgh would they have a statue of George Washington next to a statue of France Harris

Jerome is great. He came back to ND to take some classes in the spring semester of 97. I had 2 classes with him, and we were partners on a project in a decision making class. Great story.

Was that a statue of THE George Washington, the quarterback for the Valley Forge Continentals way back when? I went to one of the games when his was under center. It was an epic battle against the Trenton Hessians. A novel offensive scheme, known as "Boats Across the Delaware" was the key to victory that day, and an eventual national title.

The buggy ride was long and rough, but the rum was tasty and soothing.
