I hope it ends poorly, I truly do... I don't like the idea of facing him in- division, however.

Well, maybe Swanson or trade for Rosario. A SS upgrade is a huge must for my halos

The Cardinals can offer the Angels a former All Star Shortstop!

Right. These tv rights are off the chains.
You think? It's been that way all along. The game was flush with cash before Covid and everyone seems to be doing okay these last two years.
They deflect and misdirect by making the public think the players are greedy. I'm in my mid forties and I'm a White Sox fan. No owner better dare try and tell me about greedy players when my entire existence on this Earth as a baseball fan has centered around a team with Jerry Reinsdorf as it's chairman. That dog ain't hunting.

Love the Guardians pick up of Josh Bell.
Imagine trying to make your team better. Interesting concept they seem to have nailed down. Some of their division rivals, on the other hand, don't really understand that concept. I won't name names but the city starts with C, ends in O and in the middle is the word Hicag

LOL. All these owners were crying poor not long ago.
Was Cohen crying poor too? Honest question as he’s new to the game. I’m no Mets fan but from what I can tell he’s been committed to turning around that franchise since he purchased it.

Trea Turner turns down a lot more from the Padres to be a in Philly. Good call on his end. Gets to go back east & Spring Training in his home state. It was fun to watch him as a Dodger for a year & a half.

They were talking about how going over 300 million is a real expectation for the Mets last night on MLB Tonight,… so if true they may not be close to done yet

Best of luck to the Cubs w/ Belli. I truly hope the kid can find his swing and he can regain his 2017-2020 form. If he can regain that, he’s a 5-tool player and a lot of fun to watch. Boras got him a one-year deal b/c even he knew he couldn’t get big long-term money for Belli w/ his last two years of performance.

Maybe he can get Bobby Bonilla back in uniform since he’s signing all these ageless wonders like Scherzer & Verlander & he’s still paying Bobby Bo.

The Cleveland signing makes me less optimistic about a Rosario trade with my Halos,…

It feels like a rhetorical question. Obviously, he's the kind of owner quite a few fanbases wish for. He's also the kind of owner the other owners are afraid of. Cohen all but admitted he enjoys seeing shade getting thrown at his fellow MLB owners. Especially during the lockout.

Judging by his tweets (the few I’ve seen), I saw an owner who was trying to shake things up and make his team better. I didn’t want to presume all that based on a few tweets only to have some Message Board weirdo swoop in and inform me how horribly wrong I am in my judgement. Thus…the honest question.

The question was "Was Cohen crying poor too." The answer is obviously no.

He's owned the Mets for two years and in terms of what he's done during that time, he's one of the exceptions as opposed to the rule when it comes to that group of owners. The majority sang a far different tune than what we're seeing now, but they've controlled the narrative pretty well to the point that a lot of fans thought the lockout was another "strike". Significant difference.
