Me neither. I was hoping for a push to get back to .500. I really feel like this team can do some damage. No NL team is overly scary.

4 of the top 11 NL pitchers in xFIP are Dodgers; (3 of the top 6 if you're curious for a short first round series). Their run differential for the year so far is about 50 runs higher than the Cubs (and the Braves are number 3). They will be plenty scary.

Alex Curry is moving to the Dodgers next year.... this is almost as bad as losing Trout.

I'm not scared.

Didn't check the stats and this obviously assumes all runs are scored are while he's on the hill but still:

2019 Draft order set: O's, KC, White Sox go 1-2-3

Three of the top five are from the AL Central where the second place team finished six games under .500. The best road record of those four teams with losing records belongs to the White Sox - 32-49. Of those four teams with losing records (Minn, Detroit, Chicago, KC), only Minn had a winning record against its Central division foes - 42-34. Historically, has any division ever had only one team finish with a winning record?

The Braves manager has killed them in this series.
Putting Gausman in the middle of an inning like that was really stupid. Bring in a real reliever to get the last out and then bring Gausman in for long relief in a clean inning. Unreal. Luckily Acuna and Freddie saved us for one more game at least.

Wish I could have been there. I was in attendance for our last playoff win in 2013. The atmosphere seemed electric.

Watching the Dodgers trot out random relievers with like 50 games of postseason experience and former MVP candidates as the last man on the bench drives home how young, thin, and inexperienced the Braves are. Overmatched in every way. This is why I was pulling hard for the Rockies against the Dodgers.

That’s just the Dodgers man...

2018 MLB Regional TV Ratings In Prime Time Shows Continued Strong Popularity

Attendance for Major League Baseball was down in for 2018 for the regular season, but that’s not the case when it comes to one critical facet of television. Ratings for MLB games in primetime on the regional sports networks (RSNs) that host them show them up slightly for the 2018 regular season compared to 2017. The numbers include the 29 U.S.-based RSNs covered by Nielsen. Due to being in Canada, the Blue Jays are not measured by Nielsen and therefore not included. The Nielsen data was provided to Forbes through FOX Sports and covers March 29 - September 30, 2018.

More importantly, baseball continues to rank incredibly strong in the television ecosphere compared to other content in primetime during the spring and summer months. Twelve of the regional sports networks that host MLB teams rank #1 in their market in primetime, beating the primetime average of all other TV networks in their respective designated market areas (DMA). Half of those teams air on FOX Sports regional sports networks (Cardinals, Indians, Brewers, Royals, Yankees and Diamondbacks). An additional eight MLB teams (20 total) rank in the top 3 in primetime.

And when looking at pay-TV, baseball does better still. Twenty-four of the RSNs hosting MLB teams rank #1 on cable TV in their market in primetime. Baseball ranks #1 in cable prime in every U.S. MLB market except Miami on the regional sports networks .

All told, MLB saw ratings increase by 2%, and average households increase by 1% compared to 2017.

Leading the ratings this year were the St. Louis Cardinals with an average 8.05 rating, an increase of 4% over 2017’s 7.75 rating on FOX Sports Midwest. The Cardinals were followed by the Boston Red Sox on NESN (7.26 rating, a 26% increase over 2017), the Cleveland Indians on Sports Time Ohio (6.85 rating, down 26% from last season), and the Milwaukee Brewers on FOX Sports Wisconsin (5.95 rating up 41% from 2017).

At the bottom of the ratings, the Chicago White Sox were the only team on an RSN to have an average rating below 1 (a 0.68 on FSN Chicago, a 23% drop from 2017). The White Sox were followed by the AL Wild Card Oakland A’s on NBC Sports California (a 1.07 average rating, up 77% from 2017), the Miami Marlins on FSN Florida (a 1.08 average, down 19% from last season), and the Los Angeles Angels on FOX Sports West (a 1.50 average rating, up 35% from 2017).

Full rankings followed in link.

Angel Hernandez needs to retire. 3 calls overturned, including this terrible call. Yet he is suing MLB because he was discriminated against. Has to be one of the worst umps in the majors.

The awful umpiring of Ángel Hernández and why his lawsuit against his MLB bosses falls flat

In the case of Hernández v. the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, longtime umpire Ángel Hernández alleges Major League Baseball discriminated against him because he is of Latino descent by declining to name him a crew chief and preventing him from working World Series games. Given the plum assignment of first base in Game 3 of the American League Division Series on Monday night, Hernandez proved one thing beyond a reasonable doubt: MLB is guilty of discriminating against getting calls right when it allows Ángel Hernández to umpire a playoff game.

I think Hernandez is going to be behind the plate tonight, too. Should be an adventure.

I'll never forget when I was a kid and Mongo called out Angel during the 7th inning stretch at a Cubs game. Angel was a tough guy at 200 yards away.

Yasmani Grandal is on the bench so the Dodgers actually have a chance to win. He’s sabotaged his team in both losses.

California should have all their sports teams revoked. Can't sell out NFL games, can't sell out top ten Pac 12 games, can't sell out NLCS games, can't be bothered to stick around until the end of games when they decide to go in the first place. Absolutely pathetic showing.

It's not quite as bad as Miami, but it's the entire state, not just one city.

The game was a sellout last night, and is again today despite starting at lunch time on a Wednesday.... the only issue I have out here is all the damned transplants from New York or bawston talking about how shit evreything is here compared to ‘back home’ while they move here in droves,....

They may have sold the tickets but they sure as hell haven't filled the seats.

Their batting helmets are fire though.

And? You’re the one raging about not selling out, I just got home myself when I first responded....
You didn't have tickets to the game and you're an Angels fan, why would I expect you to be on time to Dodger Stadium? If I had ALCS tickets I'd be an hour early at a minimum. You take the day off work or don't buy the tickets.
