I find it hard to believe this game exceeded the Ohio State game two years ago - there was just SO much hype for that one - but lots of people, including experienced Notre Dame people, say it was the loudest they've ever heard the place. Which, if so, good job.

Terry is just trolling A&M fans now lol

I wish that flag wasn't thrown. Liked our chances better down one with 3 minutes left than I did defending against TD for 3 min. I can't even get mad about the hold/tackle on the last play.

Look at the distance Tae travels on the deep ball Gray gets beat on to (almost) get there versus what Stroman travels to not help Zackery.

I think asking Stroman, a close to the LOS box safety, to play single high safety as Watts replacement is up there with the worst decisions they’ve made under Freeman. Whose original idea was this? Bowden?

It’s not even that he is bad, I can see him being good in the right role. It’s just a square in a circle hole.

Stroman on both the deep ones he's waiting way too long to get depth that last one the receiver is already past his depth by the time he opens up. If watts is on this team that's a pick

I'd rather them do their best to rip off 10 straight wins and see where the chips lie in December, but I also get this sentiment.
The team certainly deserves that opportunity and anything is possible, but I cringe at the thought of this ND defense going up against someone like LSU (BK) or Oregon (Dante Moore) in a playoff game and getting boatraced

Play all the young pups who need the experience and build for 2026.

Right but now we know the FG kicker is questionable w/ a hip issue. Did that occur during the game & prevent him from making a possible game winning kick? Can you imagine putting the true freshman out there for his first collegiate kick? Much less the kickoff specialist who kicked one out of bounds earlier in the game.

I told my wife when it happened we'd have been better off if they'd just scored on the return and we get the ball back with three minutes. Neither team's defense was going to win that game.

Yea that’s not scheme, that’s technique. Not to say there isnt anything wrong with the scheme
did we mess up the final play. It looks like A&M is flooding the left side with four WRs counting the Tight End while our middle safeties really don't move, leaving one wide open. Seems normally we would like them clumping the left side with a right handed qb.

I was there. It was awesome. It was the loudest I've ever heard it on that last drive for A&M.

I think Tengwell regrets not picking ND out of HS lol. He’s very complimentary of us. Saying we have the best RB duo in America isn’t easy for a PSU alum.

Was wondering the same thing. Does he do this for all P4 teams? If he not, he sure seems to focus on ND…in a good way. Maybe ND should offer him an analyst role…LOL

Sucks, but A&M fans online have been very complimentary ab the atmosphere and the crowd noise exceeded their expectation. Sounds like they crushed that aspect at least.

My Aggie coworker said the same. He obviously had a great time because of the win, but said that the environment was one of the best he's ever seen (and was nothing but complimentary about the Campus and the people... at least we have that)

Who do you see wide open? I actually see pretty good coverage on the WR

Pretty much all of the former Big12 fanbases who visited say that, even Nebraska albeit in condescending fashion. Their road games must have been pretty rude.

Fair enough, regular-open. But the point is that we shoulda been happy that A&M sent 4 pass catchers to the left side, but our safeties remained in the middle.

ND Stadium was absolutely bonkers saturday night. Though couldn't really tell you how loud, because I was too busy doing my part. I'm pretty sure I caused some of those false starts. LOL

With all that niceness it is good that the players treated them badly pregame. I realize that didn't work out well.

Chris Ash and Tyler Buchner.

Also…. That’s not targeting. And that’s an obvious holding on 4th down.
The game should've never come down to a botched hold on an extra point. The defense couldn't stop a nose bleed and there is no reason to believe they could've won it if it went to OT.

I get it. Different team. But it kinda feels like 2024 never happened.
I feel like Marcus captured lightning in a bottle last year. Everything had to align perfectly. Carson Beck got hurt and missed the playoff game forcing a brand new QB into action. Penn State went full Penn State and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The Natty game against the Powerhouse Buckeyes showe how far away Freeman really is to winning the whole thing.
