Back to serious discussion, with Lo Wood decided in June, I have to think him, Riggs, Boyd, Welch, and maybe Matt James shall be ours by the end of June. If not others

Anyone else have that really excited/ nervous feeling for 2009? This is it. Roster LOADED with talent, returning starters, veterans, and new coaches.

I really like Weis and hope he gets at least 9 wins for us. If not he's in trouble.

Last night when I was reading the Welch articles I kept wondering if this was a replay of the Kai Forbath/Ryan Burkhart and the Dustin Hopkins/Nick Tausch sagas. In both those cases ND had offered a higher ranked prospect and when they did not commit on somebody's timetable (considerably before NSD) ND offered another recruit who dreamed of a gold helmet and pounced on the offer. I kept looking for an announcement that Fiedorowicz had verballed to OSU fully realizing that neither kicker had made a public announcement.

Yesterday I was struck by Olaniyan quoting Powlus to be patient, ND takes a longer time. Sometimes it doesn't seem the recruit gets the same window of opportunity to decide.

Probably no correlation. Just coincidences or random events.

Farrell thinks Welch will verbal to ND in the next few days meanwhile a Rivals article on Fiedorowicz claims Iowa leads OSU because of Iowa's track record sending TE's to the NFL. (And the Hawkeyes don't have Rudolph, Ragone, Fauria, and 2 that haven't arrived yet). I really like Fiedorowicz's size and speed but I really like guys that gush when they get an ND offer too. I look forward to seeing Welch on the field.

Guys like Welch tend to play harder because they understand the Privelidge of playing for Notre Dame.

so it looks like the dude had good info.

Maybe, but right now it looks like he didn't. Welch left without committing, and on two different sites it said that while it looks like ND is definitely in the driver's seat, he prob won't commit until July. Which is fine. Yeah, we're itching for a commit, but it's a marathon, not a sprint, and we're still over 8 months from NSD. We're good with this kid, and in the lead for several others...

Here is my inside info...

This is bullshit!!!!!!!

Another hater or wannbe somebody who knows somebody...there is no "source"...

Again, this smacked-ass just wants some attention that his daddy didn' t give him...this gives message boards a real bad name...knock it off.

GO IRISH!!!

with the Welch commitment today comments like this make me laugh. There are plenty of people who come across "inside info" and there are some who make things up. That's why you take everything you hear with a grain of salt unless reputable sources say different. This guy in the OP had info he passed on and it turned out to be good. That's why hopefully in the future you won't be such a d#%k when people bring interesting info to the board. I personally have thick skin so it doesn't bother me, but some people may take their "inside info" else where in the future because of people like you.

Lew, that is why I came down hard on him in a post. This isn't the first time he's done that, and, quite frankly, I didn't care for it. Most people on here who have any kind of info try to share what they have, I try not to read too much into since it's not coming from the horses mouth, (as far as I know). I apologized for telling him to keep his mouth shut, but it's stupid to call out people who are just trying to pass along what they have heard.
