Hey guys...just getting my only little family unit together for our first real Superbowl together...
I'm looking for some ideas for what kind of things we could do as a yearly tradition for the Superbowl....be it the food we eat, a party...whatever.

Anyone care to share with me what they do for the big game every year?
I'm interested in menu's just as much as traditions.

Thank you friends in advance!

Also; what are we going to be watching the SB on? I want to get some serious HDTV envy.

I know we'll definitely have Buffallo Chicken Dip and Jack Daniels and Bourbon...that's a given for this house on any game day!

Yeah I'm definitely thinking about pulling the grill out of the shed for this one...I keep it put away for the winter generally. Steaks possibly...or chicken...

we always cook something...fried pickles and green beans... our very special BBQ chicken (BOMB and different from just about anything you will ever have)... a relih dish is always involved... beer... something like that

and family... it really is an unofficial holiday now isn't it?

Yeah, I believe my parents will be coming in from out of town for it!
The woman's live 10 minutes down the road and will likely show up too.
Family is a given!

Keep the menu suggestions coming!

i tried fried pickles at a restraunt here and they were terrible.

here's what u do. take you some chicken put you some hot sauce and lemon juice in a pan to soak it in over nightin fridge with foil over top of it. right before you put on grill put some lemon pepper spice on it and grill. it will be good.

fried pickles are the ****... so good

thanks for the tip... also, try marinading your chicken in 1/3 soy sauce 2/3 sprite (yeah the soda) enough to cover all the chicken... add some garlic and let it stand overnight... then girll it low and slow...

best chicken you'll have... and yes I know it sounds strange... it's BOMB

I'm still in school but i usually go to my friends house. Pretty much a high school reunion but just the homies from high school. Carne Asada, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken, the typical sides and beer. Not anything too extraordinary but always good times.

It's been a while, but when I hosted SB parties I tried to make something that could be tied to each team. For example, when Miami played I made Cuban sandwiches (Medianoches), Philadelphia meant cheese steak sandwiches (wit). When the Patriots played the Rams I made clam chowder and lamb stew. Get it? Rams – lambs?

Have fun.
