ND is still #1 according to the Colley Matrix one of the computer programs that the BCS uses in ranking.
By Alabama standards that's another NC. And actually a lot more credible than a title granted by the Pumpkin Ridge Shopper.
Colley's system like others used by the BCS does not consider Margin of Victory (MOV) so ND's 28 point loss is no different than a 1 point loss. The BCS dropped MOV several years ago when teams were running up 77-0 scores over their creampuff opponents to impress the pollsters.
So ND and Bama both have one loss and by Colley's formulas ND comes out on top.
Where was Colley in '93?
Regardless of Colley or the questionable calls, we got whipped on Offense, Defense, and Special Teams.
2012 was the Year of the Elephant.
