In other news Dan Fox has a sprained PCL. No surgery required. He is day to day.

To me, the fact that it was him and Nichols is a good thing for our offensive line. We have seen clips all spring long of Nichols being able to handle Lynch. My guess is Lynch was getting pissed off that he was struggling against Nichols and let his frustration out. This happens with o/d lineman more than teams let out.

BK also stated (presumedly on Slaughter) that he is cross training the secondary and he really likes how the corners are playing.

Aaron Lynch was excused from practice today. Needed some time to take care of some things at home.

Rumors of him transferring not true.

He's coming back Monday night.

Thank you. Tornados reported in the midwest now from all the exhaled air from ND nation.

Big fan of the Slaughter-to-CB move. We've got talent at safety already (I'm still hoping Motta shows improvement this offseason) and I expect Badger and Shumate to be getting meaningful time by mid-season. I think they'll both be physically ready, Mormon mission for Badger or no. And Lo Wood looked pretty bad in some of the practice vids.

imo done for the spring then...can't take any chances with the knees.

we're a lot deeper at Safety than CB so the move and idea makes perfect sense.

See Me2SouthBend's post. It wasn't "stated" just from what little video we have seen from spring practices.

From Sapp:
Kona Schwenke worked with the first group today. It comes down to demanding consistency and the staff wants that from Louis Nix. The coaches know Nix is capable of it on Saturdays, but want it from him everyday.

Ernest Jones helps provide the needs of the players on a day-to-day basis. He's there 24 hours ... he's the one that gets the call at midnight.

He runs the fellowship every Thursday and heads up the community service.

He's an integral part of what the program needs to have to be successful.

Did not see this at first ... so Slaughter to CB is more of a contingency plan than a move.

Where was what stated?

that tate was handling lynch

It's been evident and pointed out in multiple practice vids thus far. I think Nichols is a bad ***. He is one big mofo.

"To me, the fact that it was him and Nichols is a good thing for our offensive line. "

sounded like you were stating it was lynch and tate who got into a fight on saturday...i didn't see who specifically it was reported anywhere...so i was asking where you got that info

No one has tweeted anything yet. Hamilton from the Trib just said that he confirmed that Lynch got in a fight with Nichols on Saturday and BK told the team any more fights and you would miss the next practice.

I got that from this post.

Kerry Cooks stated Slaughter to CB isn't permanent but Lo Wood hasn't locked down the other CB spot.

God, I hope this was a half speed drill. Regardless, I don't like that they aren't working on catching the ball at it's highest point.

I stated it. And I saw it.

Later note: "I was kidding. That was meant to be more along the lines of moral authority meets why doesn't anybody listen to me?"

Thanks for the video NDdomer2

2 things i noticed

Fist video you can almost tell when TR is throwing the ball..... you shouldn't under throw a receiver when he's only running 30 yards.

Second video Te'o looked slimmed down but more defined which i believe is a good thing starting to look the role of "Pro Bowl" type player.....

Not exactly a strong endorsement of Lo Wood by Kerry Cooks.

Sounds like Jackson has the goods.

Not much info about the QB's. Not making mistakes in a stripped down offense is one thing, but doing it when there are audibles and changing coverages while audibling is another. Personally, I hope we're a more run-oriented offense next year. Niklas' move to TE and his power gives me hope.
