Ergo IE is a hotbeat of anxiety right now.
1. All things Aaron Lynch. Pressure cooker situation if I ever saw one.
2. IShaq. We got him, we lost him, in the lead, for publicity?, enrolled at PSU?, coaching change at PSU the reason he did not announce? All reports any of us could run with and say we "know" what his decision is. Will it come down to Tom Bradley going to Pitt as reported this week?
Report: Pitt hiring Penn State’s Bradley | Philadelphia Inquirer | 01/05/2011
3. Michael Floyd. Will he or wont he? Speculation on NFL evaluation and possible QB situation here next year. Pros and Cons....as he tweeted "decisions, decisions."
4. Brennan Scarlett. Down to Cal, ND, Stanford, USC, and UCLA. No one seems to think we lead, but what about Cal having 4 DL recruits committed already?
5. Stephon Tuitt. Has talked a lot about signing with ND lately. Does that change with the pressure of LSU? What about the Georgia Tech visit next weekend?
6. Coaching situations for rivals and the recruiting implications.
a) Will Stanford stay in house as ESPN suggests Source: Stanford to look at internal candidates to replace Jim Harbaugh - ESPN or lure a hot name such as Chris Peterson to the bay? Does Troy Niklas care?
b) Will Michigan steal Les Miles and cause a domino effect at LSU and further, hire a lower name like Brady Hoke, or a big name like Jon Gruden as Michigan boards and blogs are putting out?
The: Jon Gruden to Michigan?- Part 2; He and Dave Brandon meeting in the desert as we speak?
c) Will Pitt help us with IShaq (stated above)? Would he follow Bradley to Pitt? Does this bring Miami back in the picture?
7. Nick Martin. This front has been quiet for awhile. Kentucky just lost to a coachless team today. That can't hurt right?
8. Amir Carlisle. ISD reports he "won't wait" for the next coach at Stanford. His father and him seem to like ND a lot. There are no "locks" in recruiting, but is this as close as it gets?
Whew...deep breaths.

Recruiting is quickly becoming one of my favorite parts of football as this is the first year that I've really followed it. Michigan I'm hoping will go through a couple more awful years (so we can take win % back) before they get good again (so we can have a top ten rivalry that makes ND Stadium and the little big house ROCK!
). Floyd coming back would be HUGE and so exciting, and it would give me another opportunity to stand behind him in line at Sbarro's and order the same thing as him (cheese pizza... mmmm). Here's to hoping we land all of our recruits (including Floyd)!
