I think (hope) Freeman and Mickens took over some control or duties this past week regarding the defense and simplified it. There’s too much talent out there to be playing like that. Small steps in the right direction.

I got the impression that a big part of our problem was awareness of fine details, not so much things being too "complex." (Shuler's quote about needing "clarity" to achieve "velocity.") Freeman then sounded like he felt that the staff was being too comfortable about this sort of thing during practices. That's what I hope vastly improves.

Good, I’d rather have them as healthy as possible for Arky. If we can’t beat Purdue by 20+ without them then we weren’t doing anything this season anyway.
