Showing as sold out in the "lottery"

Edit: and now they are showing a handful in the south end zone...

Doesn't really surprise me. It's the only "decent" home game in September/October, given the historical rivalry angle and we haven't played them since 2017.

Are they planning on doing something special for Lou for the Rice game? Because Upper End zone tickets are $100, compared to $85 for Stanford (BC & SMU are only $70, but I get those are Nov games).

I mentioned in another thread that I’ve had some circumstances change, and I’m looking to make my first trip to South Bend this fall with my family. This seems like the most logical game to try. It’s this or the Stanford game.

I have two main questions, the rest I can figure out.

1. What towns outside of South Bend are convenient to stay at but won’t break the bank? We’d be flying into Ohare so I’d prefer west more so than east.

2. Easiest way to get to tix? I don’t want to wait until the day off. Too big or risk for me. I’d like to be a little closer, lower bowl hopefully but don’t want to pay crazy prices to be super close either.

Any help would be appreciated.

How many people will you be taking? I have a hotel room maybe 1.5 miles from campus that I'm looking to dump. I think it's only a king bed.

Many nice towns nearby. New Buffalo, St Joseph, South Haven is a bit further, but nice. Niles is right next door.
