Selection show/Bracketology 2012 discussion

Figured we could talk about where/who we play etc etc here. Also if anyone can post a link to the show online that would be sweet. I don't believe in cable.

Hopefully we can get past the first/second round this year but I'm gonna say that we make another early exit........BUT, here's to hoping I'm wrong. Go Irish!

6 seed against Michigan as a 3 seed. Praying for no 7 or 8 seed. I don't think we can hang with any 1-3 seeds who aren't in the Big 10.

We'll see what Xavier team shows up. They looked amazing early in the year but have fallen big time since then. Looking forward to a matchup with Duke if we pull out of the first round.

Baylor will destroy us. But we can totally beat Duke and Xavier. Unreal that UNC and Michigan State got #1 seeds over Missouri. That's just wrong on so many levels.

Tu Holloway is their star. They started off the season hot and highly ranked after the first few weeks. There was a big fight during the Cincinnati game and many of their players were suspended. They lost most, if not all, of those games. After the players got back they played very mediocre basketball. They got to the A-10 finals and lost to St. Bonaventure.

From what I've seen this isn't a bad matchup. They rely on medium range jumpshots too much and play a style we are used to.

How?

UNC made it to their coferencr tourney final without their best defensive player and lost on a lady second shot. MSU won their conference tourney.

Maybe Missou should try scheduling out of conference. Also losses to KSU in the regular season doesn't help

Yes they can. Outside of that championship a couple years ago they've been bounced out early every year.

Plus duke is good but they're not that good.

Let's be honest, getting to the tournament is a big accomplishment considering what was expected out of the team this year.

Where have you guys been for the last decade or so? What have you been smoking to think ND can beat Duke, let alone get out of the first round of the tourney? Xavier is a pretty athletic team. If our 3-pointers fall, we'll win, if not, we'll lose. If we beat Xavier, we'll get rocked by Baylor (I'm not sure if the bracketology bracket on ESPN is correct). But as far as Duke, are you kidding? Austin Rivers and Seth Curry would put on a clinic. Don't kid yourself. Make yourself some easy vbucks betting on Xavier.

Never mind, just saw it on CBS. No way we get past the second round. Not only are we horrible in the Tournament, but Duke is on an entirely different plane.

How funny is it that they play the actual "Ohio" in the first round. Hopefully, it doesn't confuse those idiots too much. And scUM's been getting lucky breaks in every sport all year.

Guys did any of you watch the last 2 games we played? We were terrible. We couldn't shoot the 3 which we live and die bye. Cooley was lost in both games. We will win the first game close within 5 points. But i really don't see us standing a chance against Duke.

Which bracket does everyone think is the toughest?

I think it is either the West or South (ugghh).

The West will probably have the most excitement and closest games, but I think the South is slightly more difficult.
