Stupid instant thought on looking at the schedule for the 1000th time:

Gotta bring the A game for Michigan, Oklahoma, USC, and Stanford, the B game for MSU and AZ State, and then the other 6 should be easy wins in theory.

I enjoy the videos and interviews that come with preseason camp. It's a fun build up to the opening game.

IMO the Arizona State game is another of the "A" games. With how the Pitt game went down after beating OU last year, ASU screams trap game. I'm not sure how good Michigan State will be this year and who they lost from last year's team, but we might need three straight weeks of good play from the team to hopefully enter the first bye week undefeated.

I think it'll be a good thing. After winning six in a row, it'll be nice to catch some rest, heal up a bit, then run them over.

The bye week has been a mixed bag under Kelly. You could argue two of our best games were played after a bye week (2010 vs. Utah & 2012 vs. Miami), but then you could look at 2011 and the 31-17 loss at home vs. USC.

But I have to agree with BobD here. It will good to get some rest at the mid-point of the season.
