The problem is Zelensky thinks he can get guarantees.

He was told he has no cards, he is not negotiating anymore. He can accept terms, which are dictated to him. The viewpoint on what the war and U.S. involvement means under the current administration will need to be adjusted.

Regardless of anyone’s stance on Russian invasion; Ukraine was undeniably one of the most corrupt places in Europe. To their credit has improved some during wartime (maybe outside money coming in that doesn’t need to be grifted and bribed off the population). Ethics GTFO with that nonsense.
