They have zero film on them in BVG's scheme or really much in a 4-3. Not to mention, none of these guys have probably prepared themselves properly for whatever our gameplan is. Shoot... Having KRuss back could easily change what we do defensively. Are we supposed to scrap our gameplan a day or before we play?

It's S.O.P to remove athletes from sports if they are involved in an ongoing compliance investigation.

Even Auburn has done that.

IFF 2/3 are getting cleared, they should do it NOW rather than Monday.

If we do it now, hold them out of the Rice game but let them practice Thursday, Friday, film on Sunday, etc.

Do it Monday, and no matter what the truth is, the national media will say 'oh they're just back because it's Michigan'.

I couldn't care less either way, just get them back. But if they're getting cleared, the smart move is to free them now.

I don't know how much value to KRuss, DD and Ishaq playing limited reps would be, they're all veterans. I'm also not sure any benefit would outweigh the opportunity of keeping those three out of Michigan's film study for the following week.

It would be killer situation to go out vanilla and beat Rice, then go into Michigan with them not having any idea on what we will be doing against them or how we will utilize the new players.

This isn't just about football. This is about the individuals. Whether they like it or not, a lot of these guys' futures are riding on this season (Ishaq and Daniels in particular). I understand that education comes first but holding them just because the others haven't been cleared yet isn't fair to those individuals that have been deemed innocent. At that point, the university is stepping outside of their legal bounds. They have been deemed innocent, so they have no right to withhold their eligibility, even if it is only for a few days.

Koon, I understand those guys claim "sources" but we're a solid week+ past when we were supposed to have guys "cleared" and there has been a lot they've said that doesn't pass the sniff test.

I'm not saying guys will or won't be cleared... just saying I don't trust a peep from these people. Whereas a number of Grade A people who WOULD know are saying nothing to the effect of guys being already 100% cleared.

To be fair, a lot of those "grade A" people stated that we were vacating wins and these guys were getting booted. I don't trust anybody with just a source, even if he's "grade A". I'm keeping the optimism, and like that most of the rumors are trending in the positive direction (of course now that I've said that there will probably be a few hundred rumors saying otherwise).
