Just an absolute all-timer. Between Major League, Mr. Belvedere, Miller Lite commercials, and his hilarious autobiography titled The Catcher in the Wry, he was a big part of the 80s and 90s for me. RIP to the legend.

Legendary filmmaker David Lynch died this morning.

His health was deteriorating the last few years of his life, mainly due to emphysema. Lynch smoked most of his life and only quit around the time of his diagnosis. He needed oxygen tanks and couldn’t cross the room without one.

Bob was a legend and made me laugh all of the time.

I loved Norm's impressions of Bob and can only imagine the great times these two had... and will have again.

RIP Bob and Norm.

Cheers and Go Irish!!

Damn, I fuckin' miss Norm...those stories were great. Hopefully he and Bob are hanging together today.
One thing I always loved about Norm is that when he did impersonations he rarely changed his voice to match who he was impersonating, it was almost always his normal Norm voice just saying things as a particular celebrity would say them. However, for people that he respected or was friends with I think he would change his voice, guys like Uecker, Letterman, Tarantino, Dangerfield. He changed it a little bit for Larry King and Turd Ferguson, but not much, same with his Bob Dole.

Sounds like he was evacuated from his home due to the wildfires and had complications.

I believe this young man passed away recently (Jack Hoffman) after a years’ long battle with cancer. He got this opportunity to participate in Nebraska’s spring game years ago. I made the mistake of watching this video and now I have tears in my eyes while I’m trying to finish my workout at the gym.

Now I do.

Reminds me of the kid from 2005, Montana Mazurkiewicz. Weis spoke to the kid, who had an inoperable brain tumor, if he wanted to call the first play of the game. He said "Pass Right." We ended up getting the ball on our own 1 foot line, horrible place to be throwing from, but we ran it. Unfortunately the boy died the day before. There have been a number of terminally ill kids that the football team has looked in on over the years, but that one always got me.

RIP to my damn big screen TV in the living room that I just bought 14 months ago (12 month warranty) right before ND’s biggest game in a quarter century.

Phillips products are a piece piece a shit.

Guess I’ll be TV shopping over the weekend.

This one hit hard for me. One of my absolute favorite directors ever, a genuinely interesting, and thoughtful man.

I've always loved Vizio... Not sure how well they are being produced now that Walmart is making them.

Super trippy movie maker. Original Dune, Elephant Man, Wild at Heart (My Fav), Blue Velvet, Lost Highway and of course Twin Peaks and the movie Fire walk with me. Eraser Head was a cinema class view. Very creepy and often perverse but great soundtracks and used the same cast of characters over and over.
RIP David.

Samsungs are great and their free Samsung TV has 100’s of free stations to watch. Just walk into Costco and Sams club and drool over the many options.

I personally prefer my LG to my Samsung. Sometimes the Samsung UI is a little laggy. I do like the free channels though. Lately when we're eating I'll turn on channel 26-- something, it plays the entire Saved By the Bell series from start to finish and then repeats, very few commercials. It even has the specials, the Ms. Bliss years, and the Wedding in Las Vegas. I've still got the hots for Kelly Kapowski...first crush for a young ulukinatme.

Former MLB catcher and Chicago White Sox manager Jeff Torborg passed away this morning in Westfield, N.J. He was 83 years old.
Torborg was named the 1990 A.L. Manager of the Year after guiding the Sox to a 94-68 record that season, a 25-game improvement from the previous year.

Great manager. Very underrated. That 1990 last season in comiskey and good guys wear black team was so much fun for 11 year old me. Too bad they didn't have the wildcard back then.
