Kind of surprised that KBs wife and kids made it to the race. He started to grow on me once he went to RCR, and I seen Brextons racing videos on YouTube. Granted, him going back to Chevy made it easier for me to cheer for him, but the genuine dedication to helping his son made me like him alot more

My stepdad is a rainbow flag Jeff Gordon circle jerker.

When KB started smacking folks around and throwing the bird, it was welcomed

I always remember him singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at a Cubs game & he referred to Wrigley Field as Wrigley Stadium.

Shout out to all our Vets today and those who lost loved ones.

Had breakfast with my god father this morning. His dad was bombed by the Japanese and he had to swim with the sharks for a few days.

Survived, however. And was always at my baseball and football games.

He was only 68. I remember watching him hit 4 homers in a single game in '85 or '86.
He was on his way to the HoF until he wasn’t. First overall pick in the draft & never played a day in the minors. ROY and then started getting hurt. Seemed like he always had a wrist injury. His 4 HR game was his last hurrah before riding out the string w/ the Cardinals. RIP

Crazy just watched him during the pregame couple nights ago. Guess it's being ruled suicide

One of the all time rats of the last 40 years in the NHL. The man could play and piss off the entire world in the process.

I was just coming into my major hockey fandom in the early to mid 90s and HATED the wings,… when he led the devils over them in 95 I was forever a fan. Sad

I'd venture to say id put him a small step below Marchand. Granted hockey was on TV back then like it is now, but he was most definitely a rat

Marchand is more of a vocal rat. Claude looked to hurt and take you out.
Think of him like Raffi Torres with all-star skills.

NFL legend and HOF member Raymond Berry passed away this morning at the age of 93. Berry redefined the WR role in the '50s as Unitas's favorite target and was the NFL's dominant WR of the late '50s and early '60s being named 1st Team All Pro for three straight years 1958-1960 and a Pro Bowler six times. Berry never had elite athleticism or speed. He more than made up for it though with incredibly precise route running and the ability to catch any ball that got close to him. He supposedly had only 15 dropped passes in his entire 13-year career. The guy could just get open and catch everything that came his way.

Berry was named to the NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1950s, the AFL-NFL 1960-1984 All-Star Team, the NFL’s 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and the NFL 100 All-Time Team, and was inducted into the HOF in his first year of eligibility. Berry later became a HC in the NFL and led the Patriots to their Super Bowl appearance against the '85 Bears.

I barely remember King spelling Bill Cartwright during those early championships, he gave him breathers a bit during the Jordan Bulls' first 3 championships. More importantly King was later traded to Timberwolves for Luc Longley who became a staple and the starting Center for the Bulls' later 3 championships. Never really heard him do commentary for Chicago. Gone too young still, RIP.

Actor James Handy stabbed to death by his girlfriends son. More recognizable by his face than his name, but appeared in a lot of movies.

81 years old and had a girlfriend, was livin' the dream. The girlfriend was mid 70s, I imagine the son was 40-50, not what I'd expect unless the guy had mental illness. It seems rather strange, wonder what the reason was for stabbing him? Then he was so nonchallant when the cops came.

Ronnie Schell, who played Gomer Pyle's friend and fellow Marine Duke Slater, died yesterday at 94. After Gomer Pyle, he would appear in dozens of TV shows and movies, plus doing quite a bit of voice acting work.

Gene Shalit, the Today Show's movie critic for 40 years from 1970-2010, passed away this week at the age of 100. His unusual looks and his wit and penchant for bad puns made him stand out from the crowd.
