Yeah and this is a reaction due to cops murdering black kids and black people, again and again. Cops showed up in full SWAT gear to a vigil, which helped spark tensions. The murderer got paid vacation, like all cops do when they murder a black kid.

I love Rick and Morty so I'm predisposed to liking you but this is hardly a full proof account. Not to say I necessarily don't believe the man giving the statement but it sounds like an incomplete story.

I hope there are cameras somewhere to show what happened. If the officer was not provoked or truly threatened, then I hope he is tried and convicted and serves a harsh punishment. If he was, then I hope all city cleaning services are cut off from the rioting neighborhoods and you allow the opportunists to live with their handiwork.

The rioting is never called for, it's a bunch of people using a man's death, possibly murder, for their own material gain, then acting like they were just doing it to send a message.

Agree with this. If the cop did as the kid claims, he should be convicted and given the death penalty or life in prison. I hope there is video evidence, so we do not have to rely on one witness's testimony. Riots like this are nothing but people looking for an excuse to act like the criminals they want to be. If you want to demonstrate, go assemble peacefully in front of the police station or city hall.

Cops will rarely get convicted of their murders. They have a free pass because they're are just "good ol' boys." Kelly Thomas's murderer was acquitted. I'm sure this cop will get a paid vacation and then be back.

He and his boy were walking in the middle of the street. A cop comes along and tells them to get out of the middle of the street. He says that they told the cop that they were almost to their destination, and they were not holding up traffic or anything.

I'm betting that they did not very respectfully and politely speak to the officer, as he insinuates that they did.

The cop threw his door open and it bounced off of one of them and then back into the officer, who then reached through the window and grabbed his buddy by the throat. I'm assuming that the officer was still seated, at this point. Now, that might be a false assumption, but it is not an illogical one.

How long are the cops arms, that he can reach through a car door window and grab the kid by the throat? Unless maybe the kid was bent over, with his head in the window?

The bottom line is that I don't know what happened. But I do know that this kid's story doesn't sound kosher, hence my comment.

Not all cops are bad as some of you male them out to be. Every profession in this country has bad apples. yes some cops get a little power trips. Just like fire fighters there are some that want to start fire just to put them out.

I haven't read anything on this story because i truly didn't know about it however i am working nights this week i will sure do some reading on it.

And then the community wants to know why others got injured and arrested because the wouldn't listen to the police. And while in front of the police commit a crime of malicious destruction of property. May some store owners should have sat in their store with guns.

If you want to sit here and argue with yourself, over whether or not the shooting was justified, you go right ahead.

All I said was that I am skeptical of the story told by the kid in the video. I never said it means anything beyond the fact that I don't trust his story.

Puh-leeeeeese! POOR people feel oppressed, all over, and despite what you might think: There are PLENTY of poor white people. Maybe the anger stems from apologists filling black youths heads with the idea that they are still treated like common slaves, and that that experience is unique to them?

to say that I cannot judge these opportunistic reactions because I am a white male is retarded. trying to steal an ATM is simply not merited. robbery is not merited. burning down buildings is not merited. the officer involved needs to be held accountable for his actions as do those who are using this poor kids death as an excuse to get a tv or some wine.
