Ha.
Nebraska has always seemed like a bit of a weird fit in the Big 10. But didn't they (like Missouri) bolt the Big 12 at least in part over concerns that it was really a conference by and for Texas schools, and UT in particular? That hasn't changed. If anything it's even moreso, especially if they chase off Oklahoma (and why would they do that?).
I dunno. But looking to the future I wouldn't build a conference around Nebraska as a core member. Lots of history and a rabid local fan base, but I'm really not sure that they bring to the table in 2016.

Why would Texas be trying to build a new conference that doesn't include OU? How does that make any business sense?

You lost me at OU not being in the Big12, but Cincinnati being in it.

Nebraska comes back and the second team in with them is Houston or Cincy?

Maybe UCONN could join the big 10. Lord knows we need to be part of a power 5 conference

The BIG12 imploding could be the birth of super conferences.

The BIG12 imploding could be the birth of super conferences.

I doubt it. This was supposedly going to be the case 5 years ago when the Big XII did implode.

Conferences then began giving yuge amounts of guaranteed money to schools and putting financial poison pills in the contracts for schools to leave.

The scenario that dude laid out with OU, Nebraska, Cincinnati, Houston, etc. makes virtually zero sense for anybody involved.

After being on the precipice of actual Super Conferences, then sort of getting that with the sec, ACC, big 10, and Pac-12 all adding teams, I think the only way to go now would be for actual departures from the spineless, worthless ncaa by some institutions.

Haven't read anything, but what is the reason for Nebraska to leave the B1G? They being courted with a huge bank deposit. They're a research based school which fits the B1G model. Travel shouldn't be a big issue except when going to Rutgers or Penn State. B1G can help elevate basketball. Seems the B1G is their best fit.

Why in the world would OU leave? Would be a huge mistake.

I really feel like people are throwing things against the wall hoping they stick so they can be the "First" to report something.

Nebraska has struggled in Big 10, Yep they must want out but in reality, Big 10 continues to be a top conference for school payouts and can't imagine Big 12 being able to offer Nebraska more..
