The number one take from RL in this game is that he refuses to go through reads past 5-7 yards down field. Idk if he was told to get the ball out immediately or run but that missed opportunity on Love wide open for a td was unacceptable. He was looking right at him.

As a long time ND fan. This is the first time. In a long time. That I enjoyed watching a 2nd half. Wasn't worried about the game then. But seeing the backups coming in and maintaining the same energy. Loved it. ND could've dropped 80 on em. This D. Is the real deal. And I realized that when the 2nd. And 3rd teams came in. Oh. Not to mention that we probably lost 2 lineman. And their backups showed their ass. Yeah. Rn I'm happy. Still things to be fixed. But man. I'm a Lil bullish on this young line.

1. It’s clear how elite this defense is against teams that want to throw the ball.

2. Still questions in the passing game but you have to love our RBs and how fill in players on the line stepped up.

3. Historic performance.

4. Injuries are a major concern moving forward. Prayers up for Bothelo, Craig, and Schrauth.

Man....that was an utter beat down. Stadium was quiet in the 2nd...think probably half left at halftime. The difference between Angeli and Leonard throwing the ball was blatantly obvious sitting in the stands. That dime Angeli dropped was fucking nice. I'm more convinced that only reason he is the starter is 100% about money he was paid

Angeli threw 2 td passes to get us on the board. We ran for 362 yards, Love and Price both at about 11ypa. 😄

Great response by the lads!

Kudos to the staff and Denbrock for calling a game suited to the Os strengths and not thinking, or trying to mold RL to be the next Jayden Daniels, bc he never will be. Need to keep creating new looks every week as more tape gets out there.

Pass defense is elite. We'll see how it fairs against the next run first team.

Great execution on both side vs a far inferior opponent. Makes last week's debacle that much more of a head scratcher.

GO IRISH! 🍀

What Lax said.

Defense looked sooo much springier.

I can see us leaning on the run game and ripping off a pretty good win streak.

Bothelo is a big loss, was having a great year.

Angeli and Minchey looked way better passing. Riley missed a good number of open guys. Tough to think being one-sided on offense is gonna be good enough in big games! I have never been more excited seeing the back-up QB enter a game. Crazy!

Worst case they could all get a medical redshirt out of it.
