PS3 NCAA Dynasty.

Figured we'd differentiate ourselves from the Xbox crowd in a thread where we can discuss who's going to play, rules, teams, etc.

Now, everybody knows we have the option to start as coordinators this year right? I would petition that we all start in either the defensive or offensive coord job at a max 3 star school and race to the Notre Dame head coaching job.

I feel like that will stop the possibility of a couple people picking powerhouses as head coaches and sauntering into the job we all want. There would be a fair amount of work and a bit of luck involved.

For those that are concerned about Sundays being the day of games, you can always work out something with your opponent for the week.

I feel like the OC/DC 3 star start and race for the Irish will keep this interesting for quite a while.

I'll volunteer as commish if no one would rather do it... let's start researching who we wanna take!

I would think that we go every week at least once.

It seems from what Ive been seeing that most people are free on Sunday so Mondays would be the advance.

Of course if people got together and played their games beforehand I would advance it as soon as everyone's green.

As far as conferences, I suppose that would depend on how many people we have in the dynasty. Too few and it might play better to have separate conferences..if we max it out we could take over a conference just for ourselves.

No doubt! I was all jacked, my first ever online dynasty-had the Badgers on a role and *poof* never made it out of week 4 or 5, I was crushed lol

I'll do my best to bring new people in if folks drop out, but I sincerely believe that this new format will help keep it fresh for a while.

Plus, a real help to keeping dynastys interesting is trying to play your games as soon as possible. The sooner we get our games done, the sooner we advance, the sooner we get to see how our careers advance, the sooner we get to take the reigns of the Irish!

Not yet, should be any day now though.

Well, I can see a couple there that probably changed, like Stanford, probably Texas Tech.


I've also seen that in creating your coach, Alma Mater can matter in school's decision to offer you a job. It's not a definite but it does factor in.

Maybe we should make a rule that no one claim Notre Dame as their Alma Mater? I know that would pain all of us during our coach creation, but it might make things a little more fair.

I think they're a 2 star program, and I'd like to play them against mainly the MAC and then some of you 3 star team guys that way I'm not out matched in all my games.

I mentioned this earlier.

That's fine if Sunday is when we can do it, but I would urge everyone to try to get their games played ASAP, it moves the dynasty along and keeps everybody interested.

I feel like we should institute a hard 12:00 noon Monday advancement though. One advance a week needs to be the bare minimum.

i did not get into our online Dynasty at all last year... I wasn't the first to drop out but I certainly wasn't the last...


BUT the idea of picking teams and then creating a conference made ONLY of those teams really interests me...

We could possibly have 2 conferences and have the top team from each play in a BCS, right? Seeing as you get to pick what conferences play for bowls.

I might be arguing my own case, but I just thought of the idea.


Edit: It wouldn't be arguing my own case if we did that and used the two weakest conferences in football, though. Say, the MAC and the Sun Belt?
