Prime revoked his scholarship, yet offered him one when he was at Jackson State.

Straight up telling the guy you are not good enough for my NEW team Div 1 team.

I mean in what world would you expect an FCS offer translates to a P5 offer?

The guy isn't a scrub. He has some P5 and G5 offers. And had been a top 5 recruit in Colorado's class.

Prime can't rely on five & four stars, plus transfers, to build his dream roster from the beginning. Like, all programs, he'll need development dudes.

We have done it too… just like everyone else in the real world.

Get real

The player could have just as easily decommitted from him.

Players and coaches are pretty much free to do what they please in college football now. Fans are going to get to have it both ways, as players transferring in and out of schools will be a travesty, as will coaches making cuts and going from job to job as they did prior to his new era beginning.

We will see more of this everywhere, not just from Deion Sanders. Scholarships are year to year, not four years guaranteed, and many coaches are going to exploit that now more than ever. If you wear your pearls, don't clutch them just yet. We're just getting started.

college players now have the ability to be “professional” athletes so the ante gets raised for all. Coaches get an even smaller window of opportunity to win at their first P5 job so I expect they’re going to be cut throat when it comes to roster management b/c they know this may be their only shot at P5. If it were my kid I’d recommend: Keep your cards close to your vest, stay off social media & use whatever university you attend to the fullest extent b/c they’re using you.

I don’t really watch that level of college football but his son better bring his a game as the new Buffs QB. The defenses are going to be so much better.

Speaking of defenses, JSU's got totally exposed in that game.

Deion is getting it from all sides on Twitter. It's rather remarkable how he's bridged a few divides in terms of who is hating on him. Just gravitates me a little bit more toward hoping he can lift Colorado up a bit and hand it off to Sean Lewis.

Neon Deion had better athletes at every position and lost. Lost with literally P5 players, that should be concerning. The USC, UCLA and Oregons of the world are going to murder him year in and year out. His schtick may have worked (for the most part) on an uneven playing field. He will definitely land good recruits the first couple years, but I'd still bet he fails and maybe miserably!

How can you get any worse than Colorado was this year?
