One thing I failed to mention....2 obvious pick plays that were not called by officials. I think BK needs to submit these to the ACC and ask for clarification since the same calls lost the FSU game last year. And make it public that he did it and make the response public as well.

Both are in the works.

Jaylon thus far is 100% better then he's ever been. Joe Schmidt played his worst game, out of place few times n just to slow today. Morgan needs more plays.Offense Was basically running at will, yet Adams had like 2 more carries then josh Anderson and only 17 for CJ. The amount of designed runs for Malik were foolish.

Kizer eyes were glued to fuller just about every play, even last play as he's backing up toward opposite side. How the safety didn't get in position for a play is puzzling. Hopefully they work on that and play c rob to give him a big target to see.

It was UVA home opener, playing ND, coming off a loss to UCLA and ND blew out UT. This stunk of a trap game. Sucks to lose MZ but Kizer is not some walk on I expect him to play well.

That defense though.........what the hell is going on. Who is teaching our DBs??? They are an embarrassment.

And dropping Day in to coverage to stop that is the best they could come up with? I'm sorry, but that inexcusable.

Ok.......... you people need to stop complaining about Day "dropping into coverage". Day wasn't covering anyone. It's a standard thing in a zone blitz, to have a lineman drop back into a throwing lane, so that the QB cannot throw a ball to the space vacated by the blitzer. The DL is NOT expected to cover anyone. They are just there to put a body into the throwing lane.

The play was a double move. If Kizer DOESN"T look Fuller's way, then the slant and go is worthless. The safety DID get in position; he bit on the fake slant, allowing Fuller to run right past him.

This. Thank you Moose. All of you guys would be screaming if Day hadn't dropped back and the QB completed a pass in that giant window.

I think the problem with Day dropping is that he is one of our best pass rushers. I am not against dropping a D-lineman in coverage (on a zone blitz) but I would prefer it be someone else.

We understand the zone blitz, but if you have to drop our best pash rusher in lieu of Joe Schmidt who can't get past a poopy diaper, it's a double whammy in the wrong direction.

Nope. Drop someone like Okwara into coverage (or Trumbetti), not the guy who is our best d-lineman and probably the best pass rusher.

It was used way too much. The blitz got to the QB once and was a big play. Also resulted in big plays for UVA. If the blitz doesn't get to the QB, it would help to have our best pass rusher not dropping back.

Well, you base it on who is doing the blitzing. So it wouldn't make any sense to drop Okwara, if the LB playing behind him is slow as molasses.

I just shook my Brian Kelly Magic 8-ball - "Nope, Better Get Used to It."

For the love of fvcking God; ND ran the ball 34 times today. They only threw it 30 times. Why is anyone bitching about not running the ball?
