If we lose our next two games, I'll walk away from this season hella impressed with the job the staff has done.
1) Doesn't feel like we won at all.
2) Hate to say it but OU will most likely jump ND in the rankings.
A win is a win but ND just showed that they are not a top 4 team. With speculation, Prosise is done until the bowl game. Kizer looked off his rocker tonight which will not fathom well with the committee. IMO the only way ND makes it to the playoffs now is a 40-point blow out win over Stanford which isn't possible. Heres to hoping Kelly can bring back most of the seniors that are still eligible and make a run at the playoff next year. Toss in the hats for 15'
I call bullshit +1200![]()
Let's allow that the "best D in the country" excuse explains the fumbles. That still leaves the dropped passes (especially the likely TD by Fuller toward the end) and the picks, which were on Kizer. This game feels like a loss.
1. This was an ugly game, and you just want to come out on the winning end of these kinds of games. We did that. There's no sense in speculating what the CFP Committee will do on Tuesday. Tuesday will come soon enough, and we will know for sure.
2. As ugly as it was, there were some highlights: I believe they said that Fuller went over 1,000 yards for the second season in a row. And Prosise is over 1,000 yards rushing. So that's good.
3. This BC defense was #1 defense against the run; #5 against the pass; #1 in total defense, and #3 is scoring. ND put up almost 450 yards and almost 20 points. And they did this despite Will Fuller not having an official touch until, what, the 3rd Quarter?
4. Just about everyone said, before the season, that they would be happy with a 10 win season, this year. And that was BEFORE Zaire and Folston were lost for the season. There's no guarantee of making the playoffs, but even if they don't, this team has had a great season.
5. It looked to me, in the first half, like most of the turnovers were the result of players trying too hard to make that extra yard or two, or to make a play on each and every snap. Sometimes you just have to play within yourself, and let the game play out naturally.
6. I'm a little concerned about Kelly's post game interview on the field where he was asked about KVR and Prosise, heading into next week at Stanford. He responded, "Well, we'll just get the next guys ready to play...." So it doesn't sound good on the injury front
On a very sloppy night, my game ball is going to Justin Yoon, who has solidified the kicking game. I'm very happy with the performance of the freshman this year.
.
lol really? over 1 bad game. step off the ledge

My one and only observation is that Amir freaking Carlisle has better hands than Will Fuller. And that is unreal.
Didn't know style points counted on the scoreboard. 10-1 is 10-1. Good teams find a way to win on bad days.
1. A team ahead of us lost.As an ND fan there is no ledge. This is typical, you should know that. ND has looked unimpressive in the last two games which should have been blowouts. Please explain to me how the playoff committee keeps ND in the top four after the past weeks' performance and for what is going down with the rest of the games. We are not a top four team. Period.

Good thing games are decided by feelings.
1. A team ahead of us lost.
2. Iowa, while undefeated has done what we have last two weeks ALL season
3. Oklahoma didn't impress vs a now bad TCU and lost to a team we smoked
4. Okst. Lost
5. Msu has lost to Nebraska, nebraska
Games are not but playoff spots are.
So the number 4 team in the country beats the top defense in the country AND puts up 450 yards on them while shooting themselves in the foot 5 times and the only way they can remain in the top 4 is they have to beat a top 11 team on the road by 40?!? What the hell are you smoking?
Who wants to hear a crazy stat???
Brian Kelly just became the 4th Notre Dame coach to notch multiple 10 win seasons. Nat'l title winners Leahy and Devine only did it once.
I still can't believe people complain about close wins. Wins are wins; win and you remain alive. Yea so we struggled against a mediocre team, well its a lot better than both OSUs and Houston who all fell today, ending their playoff chances. Their fans probably all feel like sh*t right now. You know whose fans are still optimistic with a chance still at the playoffs??? Florida's and UNC's who squeaked by mediocre competition today just like us. We are a win and Oklahoma loss away from being guaranteed a playoff spot. All things considered, win next week and we have a >75% at making the playoffs.
