Fuller he gone

I disagree. Right now he is projected to go in the early second round. Some have him late first round. His lack of size I think may cause some teams to be scared. Michael Floyd was projected to be a first round pick and stayed his senior season. Here are a few things or reasons why I think he will stay.

1. He could be a top 10 pick next year.
2. He could finish at the top of all kinds of Notre Dame records for Receiving .
3. I think Notre Dame could be better next year than this year.
4. Get that degree.

I think a big determining factor for the return of all these guys is if they win a championship this year. If they win it and are projected a first round pick they are gone in my opinion. Second round grade then it is 50/50.

One good thing is with Redfield's average play.. We don't have to risk him leaving early... At best he is a 4th rd pick if he leaves today.. He can come back, sure up some things and be a second rd pick or better next year

Fuller will never be a top 10 pick, just based in his size alone.

Also, Floyd wasn't considered a first round pick after his junior year.

I think Will and Jaylon are both gone and I agree with their decisions.

Jaylon is gone.

Nothing will surprise me about Fuller. He's small by NFL ideals and he doesn't have the greatest hands but the NFL never ceases to confuse me regarding how skill position guys are valued. I get the feeling that there's no way he's a 1st rounder. I can't see anyone picking him before Doctson, Coleman or Treadwell. Some of the lesser known guys like BG's LEwis or last year's hot prospects Higgins and Boyd might be favored for whatever reason.

I think Fuller kind of is what he is. I dont see him adding much weight if he stays, and idk what's up with his hands. Idk that he's a better prospect next year than he is this year, so I think he goes. No way he's a 1st rounder but he'll be a 2nd day pick.

Fuller and Smith are both gone. Can we blame them? For every Manti, Martin, Stanley, and Eifert there is a Jonas Gray/Kap/Zaire/etc injury.

I also really think that Grant and Hayes will both transfer. So, our depth will be really tested.

I don't know about Hayes. Whatever stuff may be going on, he's going to be in line for big time playing time next year, and he knows that. I'll bet he stays. Maybe that's just wishful thinking though.

Assinine! Marvin Harrison was never that fast, he was a precise route runner and had great hands. Fuller is a burner with good-great route running but possibly suspect hands. He tracks the deep ball extremely well but he has lapses in concentration.
Marvin Harrison was indeed VERY FAST ran 4.33 at Syracuse and 4.38 at the Combine.....LOL

Is Brent still training at RB? Have a hard time seeing him there, considering the depth next year. I know this has been put out there many times before but I'm surprised they haven't thrown the idea of moving him to safety. Has the height, speed, and hands to become one.

Brent could move to safety. I do not see him getting a lot of time at WR

Brent seems destined to be a man without a position. Unfortunate, but he does not appear to be realistiiclly in the RB rotation next year (particularly if Prosise returns), he was already buried in the WR depth chart, and he would have to take another year of training before he would break in as a safety. He will run out of time before he would ever see time as a safety.

Anyone think BK uses the QB-by-committee approach next year? I don't see how you choose between MZ and DK after how this season has played out. I'm in shock every game. Kizer just keeps getting better. Wimbush will be odd man out. He'll just need to wait until his time comes. No way he takes the position away from the other two.

My mind explodes when I try and sort out the RB depth chart. Anyone's best guess if Folston and CJ return. If they do, you're going to have four really good RBs to pick from.

With Fuller coming back, he's a lock. But now BK needs to really consider what to do with ESB. He can't let him sit behind Will for two seasons. By all accounts, he's too good. Doesn't Tori know all the WR positions? A starting lineup of WF, ESB, and THJr seems pretty legit.

This could happen Sanders is not ready to take over the slot position.

Both quarterbacks will have to play and Wimbush could get his red-shirt back next year.

If CJ comes back the backfield would be stacked.

you start DK going forward. Zaire can be a wildcat type player and even play some other positions. I really think DK is going to be one of the premier QB's in CFB. It's his team now.

Completely agree about DK. He looks classier and classier each week. Hope Folston recovers fully to be part of the backfield. Franks said he thought Prosise would leave but if he doesn't the offence should be formidable. So many concern about the defence.

3 TE's...man, I hope Chase gets a 6th year.

I felt the same way but I read mention of moving Matuska to TE instead. That would open up another scholarship for a late signee / grad transfer.

Great break down, but Brent and Folston were redshirted last year and I believe Corey Holmes too. The thing that interests me is that only Rochell, Jarron Jones, Onwualu, Luke, Redfield, Sebastian, and Butler lose eligibility after next year on defense. Elmer and Robinson on offense. If Hounshell gets a 6th that's one more and most likely Folston because I doubt he comes back for a fifth. That's only a dozen players...Unless there's a lot of attrition to medicals and transfers which is possible. I think the only players who would leave early are Folston and possibly McGlinchey

Call me a pessimist but I'd be surprised if both Zaire and Kizer are on our roster in 2017. (I think both will be in 2016. But one will establish himself, the other will move along, and Wimbush will be the #2.

In other notes:
Holmes did redshirt last year, Kelly said yesterday.
I think I saw it reported that he said Hounshell is not an option for us (not sure why) but hopes to grad transfer.
True we don't lose a lot after 2016. Except our two best d linemen and every returning D Back with experience.
