Poll on 2011 Remaining Recruits

I don't know too much about Carlisle but it seems like every year, ND gets at lease one switch from a Stanford committ (T Jones, Nichols, Badger, etc)

I guess Stanford has gotten some ND guys too, Leuders & transfer in Reuland...we'll see.

I would think personally that if ND got Williams/Niklas, the other wouldn't follow suit. Is Williams being recruited as an OLB? 6'6" seems like a big LB or Safety so I've always thought of him as a DE.

Williams is absolutely being recruited as a pass rushing OLB and is an awesome fit physically for that position.

Ok, that makes sense then if Niklas is a prototypical 3-4 DE. I'd be happy with any of the guys from that list but I definitely believe championship teams start and end with good "trench" players, both offense & defense.

I'm not hugely optimistic about the remaining recruits. I think if we got Ishaq and held on to everyone we have verbals from it would be a big victory at this point. Add in anyone else and I'll be really happy, add another top name talent and I'll be over the moon.

I went with Ishaq and Amir. I feel half-way good about Niklas and Scarlett but I trie to roll with my definates.

I would be extremely suprised ad excited if we landed all four but it is highly unlikely. Harbaugh could push Amir and Nikls our way with his future decision. Ishaq is the closest thing to a lock out of the above listed IMO. Scarlett would be a welcomed suprise but will be a tough pull off the West coast.

My breakdown:

Williams - I think he is ours...can't see him going to 'Cuse...makes no sence however what scares me is the Family tie.

Huggins - is looking for a reason not to come to ND. He is GONE!

Hounshell - don't like a kid talking "Notre Lame"...after we just paid for his meal...disrespect....dont like that $hit!

Richardson - tough one to read....don't see him leavintg the South...next!

Amir - IMHO I think he is curious what Huggins is doing...and secondly what the coaching situation will be...at Stanford.

Chickillo - wish we could get him on campus...give us a chance...however does not look good. ;(

Lyons - what I have read is that we have tried and tried and tried again...he just is not into us...no idea why...no chemistry. Glad we have DBs we have...we are good here. However next year should get two true Safety's.

Niklas -hearing that Niklas is liking Stanford alot, again waiting on the coach thing to clear up.

Scarlett is down to ND and CAL...and considering CAL have 3 Dline now...I like our chances.

Good recap. I pretty much agree with everything you said. Three other points: I think the bowl game will go a long way in the recruitment of Chickillo, there will probably be no news until after the game so we will have to wait and see. Second, Niklas is a guy that does not do interviews or give recruiting services quotes and "leaders". I feel it is all speculation we him...as far as I'm concerned it is 33% ND 33% Stanford 33% USC.

Last note - we have to mention Nick Martin. We is our "best chance" prospect as a true lineman (we have a good shot with Haynes too). Until I hear him say he is not considering ND, which he would say if we was not interested...right?, then Kentucky has to be worried.

Well, most all of us believe Williams is making his way to Domer country...

Scarlett is too silent to be sure of, while Niklas and Carlisle are possibles also.

I hope we net 50% here. All 4 would be huge. The scrooges think we whiff on all 4. Time will tell. I suppose about a month or so.
