Shamelessly idiotic false equivalency is Bishop’s go to. Only a comically Boomerish, self-righteous, douchebag would disagree.
Oh, relax. You and Cack are being made fun of for being overly dramatic hypocrites.

Is this inflation or corporate greed taking advantage of the current political environment?

I honestly believe there is both and at times and they play off of each other. I still believe that their are politicians behind this getting money in their pockets. And this happens in all politics. Local, state and federal and on both side of the isle.

More telling, she came to speak but didn't visit with any of the victim families. It is posturing. Both sides do need to come together to protect schools.
Let me let you in on a secret that everyone in K-12+ education already knows:

Nobody actually cares about teachers and students as a collective whole. We’re all we’ve got.

This was a pretty crazy story from the weekend. Riley Gaines, one of the women that had to compete and share a changing room with Lia Thomas during the women's swimming debacle last year, was speaking at a university in San Francisco. She ended up being assaulted by trans activists and had to barricade herself in a room where the activists demand she pay a ransom to get home safely, among other vulgarities and threats. A VP for the school then praised the SFSU students for their "peaceful protesting" and offered counseling and other services to them.

Yeah, there's your "mostly peaceful" tolerant left, standing up for others' rights and free speech. No dialogue, no willingness to even hear someone else's side, especially if it's correct but conflicts with your own batshit crazy ideology, no tolerance for anything not 100% in line with your crazy views. That's the radical left today. Sounds a lot like the craziness of the Nazis or some of the loony cults of the 20th century.

The worst was in Stanford, where it was the DEI Dean helping shout down a FedSoc speaker who failed to comply with ideological left-wing thinking in a place of higher learning.

Doesn’t surprise me in the least…….too many people pulling in opposite directions with minimal ability to compromise because their individual interests completely overwhelm any ability to come to a rational decision that will benefit the many. I would hate to even think what a PITA it would be to try and open a business in California (and a few other states as well).

To be fair it sounds like they were having an honest, open discussion with the girl for some time before the protesters barged in and began assaulting her. You can see in the video where they came in, and she credits the opening crowd for being respectful and having good discourse. The extremists ruined it though and everything went to shit.

That’s actually not new information minus the Ben Barnes coming forward. It’s been known for years that they made the deal with Iran on Reagan’s behalf.
Sure. Let’s clear this up. I’m absolutely not anti-conservatives. I am absolutely 100 percent anti GOP. The GOP is fucking terrible and their politics are absolutely bad for the average American. Their current platform is nothing but hanging on to white america and making everyone else’s lives harder. I am however not nearly as left as you all seem to think either. None of my posts are ever anti conservative. They are mainly ridiculing the GOP and their cultists.

I 100percent know that Dems have their issues and their bad apples to but they are nowhere near the level of absurdity and vindictiveness that GOP are.
the Dems are just as evil as the republicans and that’s coming from someone who has voted democrat way more than republicans in his life. A lot of republicans are republicans because of the corruption of the democrats. The democrats have done despicable things like Obama continuing and advancing the drone bombing program which has killed far more civilians than so called combatants. He massively expanded AFRICOM which has killed thousands of Africans.

The politicians are the ones who allow themselves to be owned.
It’s the system that’s setup to own them. Elections are dictated by money. That makes them beholden to those that give the most. Beyond that every major think tank is owned by major corporations. Every major university and college is beholden to its donors. It’s the system we have created. Look at the military industrial complex, every major politician continues to fund it at the expense of their constituents’ needs because of the fact that they create a large portion of jobs in every state hence they keep programs going that shouldn’t even be alive still because they create jobs. The airlines and automobile industry are another example we should have poured billions into trains for transportation but the airlines/air force and automobile industry lobbied to keep an inefficient system going because of the job losses if they didn’t, even though a better train system would have created even more jobs been safer and been more economically sustainable hence why every other major country in the world has done it. You want politicians not to be bought and sold get the money out of politics and don’t let think tanks and corporations lobby the govt.

And we are the ones who allow our politicians to get away with it.
Sure, the system needs changed, but it's called accountability. It still starts with the politician. It's the politician that allows this to happen.

If you want to let yourself off the hook for voting for grifters go ahead, but reelecting the same characterless assholes after we already know what’s up seems like it’s kind of on us. Trump got 70 million votes his second grab at the brass ring. How many will he get after facing a litany of felony charges? Those who would knowingly vote three times for the same charlatan get a free pass? Not in the real world.

Do you seriously think your guys are clean, wholesome, I'm just here in DC to help the people, honest choir boys? Seriously??? Are you just willfully deaf, dumb and blind to the Clintons' scams with their investment and land deals, and their foundation being nothing but a front for laundering bribes? Are you intentionally obtuse and hiding your head in the sand about the phony jobs and art sales and so on for the Ukrainians and Chinese to funnel millions to The Big Guy in exchange for access and favors? It's not that anyone's claiming Trump is an angel. It's the ridiculous, willfully blind "Only your guys are bad, as all our people are innocent angels" nonsense that makes us roll our eyes at this sort of post from you. As the Bible say, get the beam out of your own eye before lecturing someone else about the speck in theirs.

It’s mind boggling what good could be done with the ridiculously huge amount of money raised by political campaigns each year. I have never understood why monetary limits haven’t been put on them.

That would presume that most politicians actually want to do good things for the people. They don't. Most want to do good things for themselves and those who fund their campaigns. Period.

Again that’s just a symptom of the system. Most politicians want to be re-elected and will do what needs to be done to get re-elected. In the current system that means keeping the donor class happy which corrupts most well meaning politicians. If one takes the money out you will still get the small minority of sociopaths that only want to create advantages for the oligarchs but you would get a far larger number that actually want to do good for their constituents and there for would get re-elected. Did you know there is a state funded bank in North Dakota and all profits from that bank go to the state to fund public works? Guess what happens when ever one of the sociopaths comes along and says it needs to be privatized so the profits go to individuals instead of the state. They lose every single time therefore the politicians no longer try to do it or bring it up as a campaign strategy, even the republicans. When the people wield their power they will win every time. The oligarchs/1%/deep state whatever you want to call them have done an amazing job at keeping us divided at the expense of our own best interests. That includes even the most wealthy of us.

All you are missing is proof. It’s not like the right didn’t spend most of Bill Clinton’s presidency trying to bury him and Hillary for shady land deals. In fairness, they did uncover a consensual affair between Clinton and Monica Lewinsky, but not a damn thing in the land deals you are still convinced, without evidence, were not above board.

So they moved on to, again without a shred of evidence, of accusing the Clintons of murder. After the Clinton’s left office and began a foundation, the republicans again tried to pounce only to be left empty handed in all their attempts to prove these accusations you repeat as facts. The Clinton’s were accused of “scandal” after “scandal” only to have each fizzle out due to lack of evidence because dorks like you will continue to repeat accusations without any proof.

All that said, I never claimed the left was full of angels. That was you, trying to put words in my mouth. What I did say is that Trump tried to pull off a coup on live television and still dummies still support him. Even after the 34 felonies he is far and away your party’s front-runner for 2024. Even after the abuses of power, the ocean of lies, the buddying up with dictators, the hateful rhetoric, the graft and corruption, idiots are buying Trump trading cards. And you have the audacity to call anyone else obtuse? GTFOOH!

Who's letting anyone off the hook? The grifters are plenty on both sides of the fence and accept these favors all the time. I didn't vote for Trump either time and won't if he is the candidate again. I rarely vote for someone twice. I do my part to try and keep new blood flowing through congress so we don't have these issues. Blaming the system for someone accepting payments isn't hold anyone accountable. I'm all for fixing the system, but it still comes down to the person deciding which path they are going to take.

Officer: Do you know why I pulled you over?
Me: Because I was speeding?
Officer: That's correct. You were going 80 in a 55.
Me: Yes, but they built the car to go above the speed limit.
Officer: Yes sir, but it's called accountability. Ford didn't make you push the gas peal down a little more.

I'm sitting here wondering why the Tennessee three voted against the bill that significantly increased funding and increase state requirements for school safety measures. I thought it was about the kids.
