What difference would it make? The guy was restrained and not resisting when he was thrown hard on a curb. I don’t care if he shot someone five minutes prior. He was not a threat anymore. Normalizing/excusing police brutality is tolerating police brutality.

You can't tell that. The clip shows less than 1 second of what was happening before he got thrown on the ground. It's highly unlikely it happened for no reason. That's why the clip was edited to remove what happened before, so gullible people would say, "He wasn't doing anything to deserve that!"

So why edit out all but half a second before he got thrown down. If he had been just standing there cooperating, you'd think they would want to show that and how he'd done nothing to warrant being thrown to the ground. There's a reason they don't want to show what led to this.
