If you already have a Blue Ray player or don't mind paying for Live (if you use it), then go with a 360.

The ps3's Blue Ray player is one of the best out there.

I have both and the PS3 is in the living room and 360 is in my sons room.
With netflix and hulu plus as well as the mlb package thru the ps3 I wont watch regular tv until the fall.

I don't think the PS3 is worth the money them, IMO. Xbox does everything a PS3 does, but better.

Uhh, I play on the PS3.

That should be good enough reason for anybody.

Oh, and no red rings? And as previously stated no monthly fees. And the online system was just refurbished so I'd think hackers or legitimate concerns about online play would be a thing of the past.

But ultimately, I think it comes down to how much do you think you would actually use it? Would it be worth the price?

lol....my opinion is exactly opposite... I have owned both... PS3 is miles ahead of an XBox imo...


reasons to buy one.

1.) Blue Ray.
2.) They hold up MUCH better than XBox, every study has shown this.
3.) MUCH, MUCH easier to set up out of the box and connect to the interent, the thing bascially does it for you,where as every time my Xbox lost connection it was a major hastle, setting it up out of hte box was a major hastle, and I had to set it up out of hte box a lot... I went through like 8 of them in two years (see number 2)
4.) MLB THE SHOW... best sports game ever made... hands down.
5.) FREE Online gaming.



the best situation is to have both I suppose, but I LOVE my PS3... not so much with my X Box... only thing I miss is Gears and Halo... Unreal and CoD fill in well enough though I guess.

My nephew has a 360. He has to bang the top of it for his to read the discs.

Buying a PS3 would be a terrible waste of money. Xbox also has way better exclusives like Minecraft that's coming out for the kinect. Gears of War, Halo, Left 4 Dead, Dead Rising, Mass Effect, Forza Motorsport, Fable. The list goes on and on.

Infamous
Little Big Planet
Motorstorm Apocalypse
Killzone
Resistance




3d games (I have a 3d tv and it really adds to video games)

Don't need battery packs to use your controllers

Guess it comes down to if you prefer Halo and Gears or Killzone and Uncharted

Well...Those are some good exclusives...Playstation has an equally strong set of exclusives...name anything that compares to the UNCHARTED series...there isn't one in that list...and Gran Turismo 5 SMOKES Forza 3. Gears is really no more special than Resistance and Killzone. And good lord...zombie games? Dime a dozen, there are like 500 of them, and the Dead Rising games aren't exclusive anymore. Halo 1 for the Xbox is better than every Halo that has come after it.



Get the PS3
You will not regret it.

Uncharted alone is worth it if you already have the extra cash to think about buying the ps3.

I also like the ps3 controller a lot better. My psn id is pigtownirish if you do follow through with the purchase.
