From what I hear I think the next weeks game would be cancelled too wouldn’t it? If so I highly doubt they can be 6-0 without a championship and make the playoffs. That would be really f*cked up if they do that just because of the name brand

B1G requires 7 days of program shutdown IF the team positivity rate is above 7.5%. The team shutdown the program today, but did not yet specify the results by percentage. My gut tells me next weeks game will also be cancelled. We already saw how secretive they were in the last 24 hours leading up to this weekends matchup. They’re going to go 5-0, miss out on the B1G championship game and MAYBE play a NY6 bowl.

The bear has picked us just a couple times, but he nearly always picks against ND. He’s a dude that still thinks (incorrectly) that ND is ALWAYS overrated.

I think it’s a real possibility we could play Miami in the championship game. If Clemson has another game canceled, and Miami wins out, wouldn’t they have the better record with an extra win? 10-1 better than 9-1?

I believe Clemson would need to not play an additional game in order for some bizarre rule to kick in which would allow Miami to override their head to head loss.

Head to head overrides win % if both teams qualify and have same number of losses. So as long as Clemson has enough games to qualify for the ACCC they will get in over Miami given the head to head win.

USC’s game against Colorado canceled. Might sound strange but I thought USC had the best chance of the PAC12 to make a playoffs bid. If they won out they’d have an impressive win over Oregon, while if Oregon won out they still wouldn’t have any signature wins. Kind of a catch 22, but neither team has much chance anyway.

Bummed we don’t play USC this year cause I think we would threaten 1966 for the biggest win in the rivalry history. Oh well, even if it was still scheduled it probably get cancelled.

If my understanding is correct, it seems likely OSUs game next week gets cancelled bringing them under the minimum required games to qualify for the Big 10 Champ, which is 6.
One scenario that is interesting to consider if next week's Ohio State-MSU game is cancelled - Ohio St schedules Wisconsin on the weekend of the conference championships. This would put ohio St at 7-0 if they beat Michigan and then Wisky. At least they could have some argument to get into playoff.

That's why it's crazy that we're even playing anymore games.

Shouldn’t even mention them in a Playoff thread but I don’t know where else to post it. Another FSU game cancelled at the last minute after the visiting team already traveled to Tallahassee. This time FSU had multiple positives but I really think at 1-6 they are trying to avoid at all cost to extend their worst season in program history.
