He sure do; just takes things too personally!

Well sports fans, was I right about Day, and the young assassin linebackers, from the spring game or what?

You know I want to make a point here, and acknowledge the whole 2013 class. There is a different attitude and purpose here. Like the class of 2011 only stronger, if possible. Good parents, and mature young men, coupled with the specific skills that the team needs. Hmmm.

Someone acknowledger Corey Robinson above, and they were exactly right. I had about a five minute conversation at the spring game with him and the only thing I told him was that I knew he had the ability to use his body like Eifert and be just as hard to defend. He looked at me, shook his head affirmitively, and said, "I will do my best." Also, someone mentioned this in Mike Heuerman's thread; he has the same ability. So I am really bullish on this class, their abilites, and their maturity! GO IRISH!

Tuitt, Nix, Neal, Gunner
I'd be crushed if any of them left.

These 4 IMHO will be the sweat, guts, personality, and balls of our team over the years to come.

George Atkinson III. After the spring game, it's pretty obvious he is the playmaker we have been waiting for. Great vision and reaction makes every one of his touches a potential "big" play. Now, he's just got to learn to hang onto the ball.

Gunner would be rough
Eifert would sting
Tuitt could kill
Teo would just make me crawl into bed and cry

Tuitt for me. He is the ideal 3-4 DE. A monster against the run who can rush the passer and slide down to DT in passing situations.

Manti- Just speaking to him he gets ND. He gets why he is there. Its a larger purpose than ND Football. He is mature and sees past things normal college kids list as important. If he can emerge this year as even more of a leader I think his team will follow him to greatness. Kid is motivated for success.

^ Manti is the face of our program next. I wish him full health and he will be a beast if he has that.

Seconded. He just ran a 10.36 100 meters. He's got a another level of speed that we haven't seen for a long time. People talk about QB's and WR's's who can stretch a defense. This is a running back who can. He's going to terrify Defensive Coordinators (and special Teams coaches) if he can hang onto the ball and Kelly uses him right.
