Paterno didn't know nuffin.
He reported it like he was supposed to.

What I don't understand...and will never understand, is how a grown man in light of these facts would do nothing. A national/heavy community leader, coach and leader of a highly publicized team/national champion chose to "brush it off the shoulder" (as Jay-Z puts it).

If he knew, then it was known...that is disturbing.

Some gems from BWI:

Why didn't this come out 4-5 yrs ago? The article is all "alleged" garbage... Im so sick of it.

The media is running with this and Joe Paterno is trending all over social media.... Im ready to move on, this was 40 years ago.

It's sure easy to move on when you weren't the one molested.

This is bull crap. JoePa did everything that was legally required. He was under no obligation to do anything else. Why is it so hard for people to understand that?

What sucks is that we are in a position of proving a negative. Much easier to throw shit on the board and have morons run with it than it is to prove that some thing did not happen and this can go on forever. Do you really think with all the crap that has gone on in the past 5 years that if this were a real, true story that it wouldn't have been front and center early on?

That's right, it's all make believe

1976? Well, I guess there is no statute of limitations on Penn State throwing millions of dollars at any "victim" who makes baseless claims.

Die in a fire, please.

Don't forget this is coming out shortly after the PSAA made it public they want PSU leadership to honor Joe...then poof...this shit hits the press

It's all a conspiracy to keep Joe's image down!

The cowardly BOT has been holding on this card for a while and were just waiting for the right time to drop it. Eff them and their lies. JoePa will always be a hero for everything he ever did for PSU. Nothing can take that away!

A little too late for that, Mr. Denial
1976? Completely unproven and should not be taken seriously by anyone with a brain. It's not even possible

Yup, completely impossible.

Let's see one piece of evidence. Anonymous source my ass. My anonymous source says the first anonymous source is lying.

Um...how do they know this isn't just another whacko/liar looking for a payday?

Most of that is just the first page. I heard BWI was bad with the Paterno cult, but it's sick to read.

Looks like my facebook timeline right now. Penn State fans refuse to believe Joe Pa wasnt the saint they painted him as.

I don't get it...it was alleged in documents related to an insurance case. Would like to understand more before I give that smoking gun status.

Yup, the articles I read are less than compelling. I don't have a horse in the race, and don't give two shits about PSU, but there's simply nothing out there to base anything on right now. It could have deeper substance, or could simply be about an insurance company trying to get out of paying the claims. It's not like insurance companies have a spotless record either. I'm sure we'll see a lot more in the coming weeks.

What? I thought insurance companies had our best interest at heart. At least that's what all of those commercials tell us.

If anything needs to be put under a microscope and overhauled,,,, it's the insurance companies. Followed by drug companies, defense contractors, etc..

NCAA really dropped the ball when they reinstated the wins and lifted the sanctions. Have to wonder if PSU paid them money under the table to let the remaining punishments slide. Same thing for Miami. It's any wonder why schools still self report issues when the punishments are never fully enforced.

IMO, if Paterno was still alive, he'd deny everything, and would do everything possible to avoid cooperating with authorities. Apparently most everyone associated with PSA only wants lollipops and balloons in "Happy Valley".

No they wanna "win with honor". Apparently honor is worth only telling the AD instead of doing the morally responsible thing.
Hell Paterno admitted he didn't do enough and these idiots still think he was in the right.

IIRC, he did tell the AD, but that was one of the more recent incidents after it became apparent it was going to be more difficult to hide.

Thats the biggest problem and the part the cult refuses to understand.
The AD of a school has no law enforcement powers, so how in the world is telling the AD that an employee saw the pedophile in the showers with a child and that he heard rhythmic slapping coming from the showers all he was required to do?
I swear Jim Jones didn't have that much control over his followers.

Beating the likes of Youngstown, Akron, Toledo, Buffalo, and other cream puffs is not winning with honor. It's sad that their non-conference schedule has been so terrible the past twenty or so years.

They are 5 years removed from a home and home with Alabama, who was ranked #1 and #3 in those matchups. But yes, overall it's been pretty shitty.
